    Die in Fig. 2 veranschaulichte Bauart, ist derjenigen der Fig. 1 ähnlich, abgesehen davon, dass im vorderen Teile des Selbsta\1sgleichssr-Abteil B die Trommel c von grösserem Durchmesser   als im hinteren Teile ist, was eine Verringerung der Länge des vorderen Teiles des Abteils   S und   demzufolge der gesamten Länge der Turbine ohne Verminderung ihrer Leistungsfähigkeit gestattet. 



   Durch die Erfindung werden folgende Vorteile erreicht : Wegen der Teilung des HochdruckDampfes, welcher in die Turbine zwischen die benachbarten entgegengesetzt geschaufelten Teile des Selbstausgleicher-Abtcils eintritt, und dem unmittelbaren Dampfstrom durch diese Teile sind nur zwei kolbenartige   Diclltlungsfortsätze   (an jedem Ende der Turbine) erforderlich und keiner derselben ist dem Dampf von höchstem Druck ausgesetzt. Fernerhin benötigt die Turbine keine 80 grosse Länge oder keinen so grossen Durchmesser an irgendeinem Teile wie erforderlich, wenn der Niederdruckdampf geteilt wird und durch entgegengesetzt geschaufelte Teile strömt wie bei den bisherigen Bauarten. 



   PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : 
1. Achsial beaufschlagte, entlastete Dampfturbine der Parsons-Type für Schiffsantrieb, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Dampf, nachdem er zunächst gleichzeitig in bekannter Weise benachbarte, entgegengesetzt geschaufelte Teile der Trommel in entgegengesetzten Richtungen durchströmt hat, so dass die Achsialschübe dieser Teile sich aufheben, einen weiteren geschaufelten
Teil derselben Trommel beaufschlagt, dessen Achsialschub dem Propellerschub entgegengesetzt ist.

   The invention achieves the following advantages: Because of the division of the high-pressure steam which enters the turbine between the adjacent oppositely bladed parts of the self-balancing section, and the direct steam flow through these parts, only two piston-like sealing extensions (at each end of the turbine) are required and none of them is exposed to the steam of the highest pressure. Furthermore, the turbine does not require as great a length or as large a diameter at any part as is required when the low pressure steam is split and flows through oppositely vane parts as in previous designs.
