Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Elastic seal for connecting the flushing pipe to the socket of the toilet bowl.
 EMI1.1

   The previously known connections between the flushing pipe and the toilet bowl suffer from the disadvantage that they have no facilities to prevent the flushing pipe from being pushed too far into the bowl. The consequence of this is that the pipe that is inserted too far causes eddies and backwater, which significantly affects the flushing process.

   In the drawing, an embodiment of the result which avoids these inconveniences is shown, namely in FIG. 1 in section in connection with the toilet and in FIG. 2 in a view detached from the toilet. k is the well-known sealing cone with a passage, which is usually made of rubber or other elastic material. It is pushed with the tip first into the basin connector zone a, then the tube 1 is inserted into it. According to the present invention, a bead m is located near the end of the passage, on which the tube rests and by which its insertion is limited.

  Another bead o is attached to the face of the cone. A clamp c sits on the pelvic support, while a cover plate g rests against the cone and is guided on the bead 0; both parts are pulled together in the usual way by screws e. The K gol is pressed together in such a way that it is close to the outside of the socket walls. pushes inward close to the pipe surface and thus holds the pipe in place. The bead prevents the pipe from being pushed in too far, hindering the flow of water through eddies and backwater.
