<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Rotary tables for insulating glass elements, on which they rest during the sealing of the edges and / or the placement of edge covering profiles, with suction cups arranged on a rotatable tripod for holding the insulating glass element and support arms which can be spread out radially in one plane are known. A disadvantage of these known rotary tables is the fact that the arms can not always be spread out easily and that the ring-shaped sealing edges of the suction cups lie in the plane of the support arms, so that they are frequently pushed off the sharp-edged edges of the glass panes when the insulating glass elements are pushed onto the rotary tables to be damaged.
The invention has for its object to develop a turntable of the type mentioned in such a way that it does not have the disadvantages mentioned.
This is essentially achieved according to the invention in that the support arms are mounted at the bottom on an annular support which can be raised and lowered with respect to the stand and are coupled to the upper end of the stand via steering arms which engage in their center and in that the annular sealing edges of the suction cups in their rest position below the level of the support members provided on the support arms, e.g. B. rolls, arranged and can be lifted automatically in contact with the facing glass pane when applying negative pressure.
It is advantageously provided in the context of the invention that the ring-shaped carrier is connected to a nut screwed onto a spindle provided within the stand.
To adapt the support arms to square or rectangular insulating glass elements, it can be provided in the context of the invention that four support arms are provided, of which a pair of opposing support arms can be rotated relative to the second pair of support arms.
Here, an embodiment has proven particularly useful in which the articulation points of the rotatable support arms and the associated links are provided on rings rotatable relative to the tripod, the lower ring resting on the lifting and lowering, ring-shaped carrier.
It is advantageously provided in the context of the invention that the suction cups consist of a plate attached to the tripod and a plate that can be raised and lowered relative to it, with an upward-pointing ring flange that has annular sealing edges and is sealed off from the plate, the vacuum line being in one provided space between the plate and the plate.
Furthermore, it can be provided within the scope of the invention that a bore leading from its end face to its side surface is provided in the plate and that an annular groove is provided in the lower region of the ring flange of the plate, so that the bore only with the plate raised relative to the plate Vacuum is applied. This configuration ensures that the suction line emptying into the plate is only subjected to negative pressure when the sealing edges bear against the lower glass pane of the insulating glass element.
Further details of the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawings. 1 shows the arrangement of two turntables according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a turntable in different positions, partly in section, FIG. 3 shows a top view of the turntable, and FIG. 4 shows a section through the head of the turntable and through a suction device.
Fig. 1 shows two rotary tables --1--, which are arranged on a taxiway --3--, to which insulating glass elements are conveyed up via a taxiway --2--. The insulating glass elements are alternately pushed from the runway --3- via roller bridges --4 or 5- onto one of the two rotary tables -l-.
After the insulating glass element rests on the support rollers --7-- provided in the center of the turntable-l and the support rollers -10-- at the ends of the support arm pairs - 8 and 9 -, the suction cups --11-- are applied and hold the insulating glass element in the turntable --1--. During the sealing of the insulating glass element, which can be carried out, for example, with the aid of the sealing device indicated schematically in FIG. 1, or during the placement of edge protection profiles, the roller bridge - 4 or 5-ply are folded down.
From Fig. 1 it can also be seen that the arm pairs --9-- compared to the arm pairs --8--
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
can be pivoted so that an adjustment of the predetermined by the support rollers --10--
Support points on square or rectangular insulating glass elements is possible.
The support rollers --7-- provided in the area of the suction cups --11-- are not absolutely necessary and can also be omitted.
As shown in Fig. 2, the turntable consists of a tripod --14-- supported on a base plate --12--, which can be rotated relative to it via bearings --13--. To rotate the tripod --14-it is provided with a sprocket --15--, which is located below the base plate --12--. The sprocket --15-- is driven by a motor --16-- via a pinion --17-- and a chain --18--.
The support arms --8--, which carry support rollers --10-- at their free ends, are articulated at the bottom on an annular support --19-- and further via steering arms --20-- articulated at their center at the upper end of the Tripods --14-- articulated.
The ring-shaped carrier --19-- can be raised and lowered by turning a spindle --21--, the nut of which is connected to the ring-shaped carrier --19-- via a bracket. When the ring-shaped support --19-- is lifted, the support arms --8-- spread radially outwards, as is shown in FIG. 2 for the support arm --9--, wherein, as also shown in FIG. 2, the support rollers --10-- remain on one level.
So that the support arms --9-- can be rotated with respect to the support arms -8--, as shown in FIG. 1, they are attached to a ring --22 - and its link - which can be rotated with respect to the support ring --19-- -20-- articulated on a ring --23-- that can be rotated relative to the tripod --14--.
An electric motor --24-- is provided to actuate the spindle --21--, which is coupled to the spindle --21-- via pinions --25, 26-- and a chain --27--.
As already mentioned, the ring-shaped seals --28-- of the suction cups used according to the invention --11-- are in the rest position of the suction cups below that indicated by a line --35 in FIG. 4 and by the support rollers --7 and 10- - arranged defined level. The suction cups --11 consist of a plate --25--, which is rigidly connected to the tripod --14--, and a plate --26--, which is sealed off from the plate --25--, which is vertical is movable. The plate --26-- has an upwardly projecting flange --27-- in which the ring seal --28- sits. A space --29-- is formed between the plate --25-- and the plate --26--, to which a vacuum line --30-- is connected.
If vacuum is applied to the room --29--, the plate --26-- rises opposite the plate --25-- until the seal --28-- comes into contact with the underside of the insulating glass element. In this raised position of the plate --26-- the end of a hole --33-- leading to the end face --31-- of the plate --25-- in the side surface --32-- of the plate --25-- is in the area of one Groove in the flange --27--, so that the vacuum is now also applied to the space delimited by the plate --25--, the flange --27-- or the seal --28-- and the glass pane. To release the suction cups --11-- from the glass pane, it is sufficient to briefly supply compressed air into the room --29-- via the line --30--.
