<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to a closure, in particular for brassieres, with at least two hingedly connectable, releasable closure parts that can be connected to the parts to be connected at their end facing away from the joint, the joint being formed by a longitudinally slotted hollow body and a bead insertable therein and the slot of the cylinder is arranged in a plane lying at an angle of preferably 60 to 90 to the closure plane, so that the two closure parts are guided into one another in an angular position and, by simply pivoting, are brought into an extended position serving as the closure position, in which the web in a widening of the slot occurs.
In the known closures of this type, in order to achieve a stretched position of the two closure parts, the closure part carrying the bead is designed asymmetrically, which results in production difficulties.
The object on which the invention is based is to create measures whereby the insertion part can be designed essentially symmetrically to the pulling plane of the closure.
This object is achieved in that in a closure of the type mentioned, according to the invention, the base surface of the widening which forms the stop surface for the web is arranged parallel to the central plane in the pulling direction, towards the same against the unslotted side of the hollow body designed as a cylinder or sleeve is offset by half the thickness of the web.
Another purpose of the invention is to further develop this closure in such a way that, in a special embodiment, it can be actuated in the radial direction or also in the radial and axial direction, so that a wide range of possible uses is achieved. In order to achieve this goal, according to the invention, the thickness of the bead of the insert part perpendicular to the closure plane is at most equal to the width of the slot in the sleeve part.
Further details of the invention are explained in greater detail with reference to the drawings, in which some exemplary embodiments of the closure according to the invention are shown. 1 shows a top view of a first embodiment of the closure in the open state, FIG. 2 shows an end view of the closure parts according to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a top view of a second embodiment of the closure in the open state, FIG. 4 shows an end view of the closure parts according to FIG 3, 5 a third embodiment of the closure in the open state, FIG. 6 an end view of the closure parts according to FIG. 5, FIG. 7 a fourth embodiment of the closure in the open state and FIG. 8 an end view of the closure parts according to FIG. 7th
The closure consists of a sleeve part --1-- and an insert part --2--, each of which has a fastening eyelet - 3 and 4, respectively. The sleeve part --1-- essentially has the shape of an open hollow cylinder located transversely to the pulling direction of the closure indicated by the double arrow A. With a longitudinal slot --5-- which opens outwards and in a perpendicular to the closure plane at the a front closure for a brassiere is provided facing the body wall of the cylinder.
The slot --5-- has a widening --7-- which is removed from the edge of the slot --5-- facing away from the eye --3-- and is arranged essentially symmetrically in the hollow cylinder mentioned.
The slide-in part --2-- consists of a bead --8-- that fills the interior of the sleeve part - l - with play and an adjoining bead --8-- with the eyelet --4-- binding web --9--, the length of which is essentially equal to the wall thickness in the widening --7-- and
EMI1.1
de shape so that there is a slight clamping effect in the end position of the two locking parts. The web --9-- is arranged symmetrically to the bead --8-- so that both ends of it protrude over the web to the same length.
In this case, the bottom surface --7a-- of the widening -7-- forming the stop surface for the web --9-- is arranged parallel to the central plane in the pulling direction, towards the same against the unslit side of the sleeve by half the thickness of the web --9-- offset, so that in the closed position of the closure parts an exact stretched position of the same can be achieved, in which the two fastening eyes are located in a common plane.
The thickness --a-- of the bead --8-- measured perpendicular to the closure plane is essentially the same as the width --b-- of the slit --5-- or a very small amount thinner, so, as later is described in more detail, the bead --8-- can be inserted radially through the slot --5--. Form
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
of the bead corresponds to a cylinder with a diameter approximately equal to or slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the sleeve part --1--, the cylinder being flattened at two diametrically opposite points parallel to the direction of pull.
In the embodiment of the closure according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the sleeve part --1-- is open at one end and closed at the other by a bottom --6--, up to which the slot -5- extends. Closure parts formed in this way - 1, 2 - can be guided into one another or released from one another both radially and axially.
In the embodiment of the closure according to FIGS. 3 and 4, in contrast to the embodiment described above, the sleeve part-1-is open at both ends, so that the insertion part can be inserted either axially in both directions or radially.
The embodiments according to FIGS. 5 to 8 are only designed for radial insertion of the insert part --2--. For this purpose, the bead --8-- has projections of the same thickness on both sides - 18--, which together with the bead --8-- can pass the slot --5-- when inserted radially and then in an end widening - -17-- the sleeve bore can be rotated.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 7 and 8, the sleeve part is the same as in the two
EMI2.1
The present case, as can be seen from FIG. 8, are designed as disks which, after the insertion of the insert part --2--, enclose the sleeve part on both sides.
The closure is actuated in all cases in such a way that the insert part 2 is inserted axially or radially into the sleeve part standing perpendicular to the plane of tension and is rotated in the inserted position into the extended position of the closure, possibly while overcoming the resistance of a snap closure, so that the bar --9-- enters the widening and forms a bayonet lock with it. To release the lock, the two lock parts are moved in the opposite direction.
