<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The invention relates to a liquid-cooled stator housing of an internal rotor motor, which is made of cast metal, in particular for electromotive rail drives, and to a method for producing the stator housing.
From DE-Ul-91 07 197 a housing made of cast iron for an electrical machine is known, into which a coil of steel tubing is cast, through which a cooling liquid is passed for cooling, so that heat dissipation from the stator core package installed in the housing via the cast iron housing to the cooling pipe coil is made.
A liquid-cooled stator of an electrical machine is known from DE-296 10 870 U1, a tube being helically cast into the cast housing of the stator for guiding the cooling liquid.
From EP 0 342 554 A1 an electrical machine with liquid cooling is known, the stator of which is constructed with a stator foot made of metal and with stator teeth which protrude from the stator foot in the direction of an air gap between the stator and rotor and are provided with a winding, whereby for cooling in the stator base, a coolant guide running over the circumference thereof is provided. This coolant guide has a plurality of coolant channels which run in a U-shape over the stator foot circumference, so that coolant inlet and coolant

outlet on the same axial side of the machine.
The U-shaped coolant channels form coolant tubes cast into the metal of the stator foot. The stator core is installed in the stator housing cast with the coolant tubes.
EP 0 560 993 B1 discloses a liquid-cooled motor which comprises a jacket for cooling a stator, the stator cooling jacket being provided with a multiplicity of channels which are intended for the passage of liquid coolant, and wherein the stator cooling jacket is front or has rear surfaces to which front and rear housings can be attached. In this motor, the stator cooling jacket consists of an extruded aluminum alloy profile and the front and rear housings can be attached to the jacket using a large number of clamping bolts. Before installing the front or a stator core is inserted into the extruded profile of the stator cooling jacket.
The object of the invention is to provide an advantageously constructed and producible stator housing for an internal rotor motor with liquid cooling.
To achieve this object, the stator housing of an internal rotor motor according to the invention is characterized by the combination of the features specified in claim 1. According to the invention, a stator housing for a liquid-cooled internal rotor motor is thus created, in which the stator core and one that wraps around the core

Cooling pipe coil are cast in. This significantly simplifies the manufacture of the internal rotor motor. Since the cooling tube coil consists of a metal tube with an oval or flattened oval cross-section, a small size of the stator housing is also achieved.
For the production of the stator housing in a casting mold, it is advantageous if the stator core package has recesses and / or formations on its circumference for inserting and fixing the coils of the cooling tube coil. This allows the stator core to be inserted into the mold with the cooling tube coil fixed thereon and the stator housing to be cast.
A method for producing a stator housing according to the invention is characterized in that a preassembled stator core and the cooling tube coil surrounding the stator core are arranged in a casting mold when the stator housing is cast and can be molded into the cast part when the stator housing is cast from metal or aluminum.
The drawing shows an axial section of an exemplary embodiment of a stator housing according to the invention for a liquid-cooled internal rotor motor.
This is especially true for electric motors with higher performance, such as. B. for rail drives, suitable stator housing 1 has on its a stator core 2 comprising jacket section 4 a cast helical cooling coil 3. For a smaller diameter of the stator housing
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
it is advantageous if the cooling tube coil consists of a metal tube with an oval or flattened oval cross section.
When the stator housing 1 is cast from metal, in particular an aluminum casting, in addition to at least one cooling tube coil 3, a preassembled stator core 2 is also cast into the stator housing 1, so that a further assembly of the stator housing is not necessary. With 6 formings of the stator core are designated, which serve to fix the coils of the cooling coil 3.
