The invention relates to a pot bearing for bridges and other supporting structures, which has a pressure pad surrounded by a cylinder. A pressure bearing is known with a tiltable piston which is surrounded by a cylinder and is under the load, a pressure medium being located below it in the cylinder space. This bearing has no pressure pad and has the disadvantage that the piston cannot be raised when it is under the load.
Furthermore, a screw jack provided for example for pre-pressing concrete has become known which, in addition to a screw spindle, has a piston that is hydraulically acted upon in a cylinder. The screw jack just mentioned is therefore not a bearing for bridges or the like.
Furthermore, assembly devices for bridge parts are known, two of which are arranged on both sides of the actual, permanent bridge bearing and which have inflatable bellows made of an elastic material and located between horizontally lying plates. These assembly devices have the disadvantage that they are unsuitable as permanent bridge bearings, especially since their bellows are damaged.
In a known tilting bearing with a tiltable piston surrounded by walls and standing under the load, sand, steel bodies, small steel balls or cylinders are located below it in a closed, gap-shaped space. This bearing does not have a pressure cushion (made of an elastic or plastic material) within the meaning of the application and has the disadvantage that the piston cannot be raised when it is under the load.
The invention is based on the object of avoiding the disadvantages mentioned and of creating a very durable bridge bearing provided with a pressure pad made of an elastic or plastic material, which makes it possible to increase the pressure pad under the load. According to the invention, this is achieved in a pot bearing of the type mentioned at the outset in that part of the bearing, preferably its pressure pad, is designed as a piston surrounded by a cylinder - as is known per se - and that the piston under the load, primarily from from below, through a connection pipe preferably provided on the cylinder, can be acted upon by means of an elastic or plastic material.
The invention consists in the combination of all the individual features just mentioned and, compared to the known, results in the additional effect that justifies the patentability of the subject of the application, that the above-mentioned object is achieved.
In the drawing, a pot bearing is shown in a partial section as an exemplary embodiment. The piston - 1 - which consists of an elastic or plastic material and forms the pressure pad is enclosed by the bottom of the pot --2--, the cylinder - 3 - and the lid --4--. Several sealing rings - 5-- are used to seal between cover --4-- and cylinder --3--. A connection pipe --6-- provided on the cylinder --3-- is arranged essentially perpendicular to the cylinder axis directly above the pot base --2-- and ends approximately in the middle of the cylinder.
The connection pipe --6-- is connected to a pressure cylinder for introducing the elastic or plastic material into the cylinder space, which contains the partial quantity of this material to be pressed in. The connecting pipe --6 - is beveled at its end - 7 - which protrudes into the piston - 1 - which is designed as a pressure pad.
