Kabeltragvorrichtung
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Cable support device
The invention relates to a cable device with U-shaped trays attached to walls or ceilings by means of mounting brackets for receiving the cables.
It is known to provide U-shaped troughs for receiving cables, which are supported by brackets attached to a wall or by means of rods attached to the ceiling and brackets connected to them. It is also known to provide bores or openings in the bottom of the tubs for ventilating the cables arranged in the U-shaped tubs. However, these known cable support devices have the disadvantage that they require a variety of individual parts to attach the tubs under different conditions, i.e. to mount them on walls or ceilings, which causes the known disadvantages both in production and in storage .
This also makes assembly very difficult. In addition, it is not possible with the known cable support devices to arrange several U-shaped troughs in a simple manner one above the other or next to one another.
These disadvantages are avoided by the subject matter of the invention. This is achieved according to the invention in that the support brackets are made of strip metal or strip-shaped plastic and also have a U-shaped cross-section, the legs forming three sides of a square, the side length of which corresponds to the simple width of the tubs, the tubs are inserted adjacent at least on two sides, and that both the tubs and, in a known manner, the mounting brackets with bores, slots or the like for inserting screw bolts, whereby the tubs on the mounting brackets, the mounting brackets on walls and ceilings, and the mounting brackets can be fastened to one another are.
The U-shaped support brackets can be used to solve all tasks, thanks to the possibility of attaching them to walls or ceilings as well as to each other, with the advantage that the cables are always in from above or from the side the tub can be inserted and removed again.
It is also easily possible to make bends and branches of the cableway using angles and T-pieces of the tubs.
Embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 shows in perspective a piece of the cable support device according to the invention, Fig. 2 shows an associated component, also in perspective, and Figs. 3, 4, 5 and 6 show various cable support devices made with such components in cross section.
As can be seen from the drawings, U-shaped support brackets 1 are provided, which for example consist of sheet aluminum or sheet steel or correspondingly solid plastic and have the same leg lengths, that is, form three sides of a square frame. Cable troughs 2 of U-shaped cross-section are inserted into this support bracket 1, the width of which is selected so that the troughs fit exactly into the U-shaped support bracket 1 and are used to directly accommodate the cables. With these trays, two or more supporting frames 1 mounted at a distance are bridged.
The bottom of the tubs is reinforced by means of longitudinal grooves 3 and provided with transverse slots 4, which serve a double purpose, namely on the one hand to achieve ventilation from below and on the other hand to insert bolts for fastening to the support brackets 2, which to
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
for this purpose are also provided with matching slots 5 (or holes) in all three legs.
Coupling parts 7 (FIG. 2), which are likewise profiled in a U-shape and consist of strip material, are used to connect two trays 2 butting with one another with their longitudinal edges. Their upstanding legs are bent over like a hook at the longitudinal edges 8 and have a cutout 9 in at least two places. The coupling parts 7 are pushed onto the ends of the tubs to be connected, the upper edges coming to lie under the bent longitudinal edges 8. At the cut-out points 9, the material of the tubs is somewhat deformed, which ensures a firm connection.
From Fig. 3 it can be seen how a U-shaped support bracket 1 is mounted by means of an anchor rail 11 on a wall by means of the screws indicated at 12. A tub 2, 2 'is placed on each of the two horizontally lying legs of the bracket and fastened by means of screws 13.
From Fig. 4 you can see the similar attachment of a support bracket 1 to the ceiling by means of an anchor rail 11, the upper horizontal leg is screwed to the anchor rail 11, while the lower is used to accommodate a cable tray.
One or more U-shaped support brackets 1 can also be mounted next to one another on a wall with an upwardly directed opening for receiving a tub 2, as FIG. 5 shows. It is clear that by stringing together and securing several support brackets 1 in the lateral and vertical direction, space can be created to accommodate any number of tubs. An example of such a support device with space for four tubs is shown in FIG. 6.
If it turns out that there is not enough space, intermediate support supports can also be built into the support brackets, so that one support bracket can be used to hold two tubs, although in some cases the advantage of free access to the tub can be foregone.
