8 in Achsrichtung durchgehende Durchströmöffnungen 9 freigelassen.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Pipe coupling for two axially parallel, nested pipe strings
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The sections of the pipe strings are further simplified and made easier. The individual sections are simply joined together and screwed together by turning the pipe socket, which is expediently already seated with a few threads on one coupling part before the sections are assembled. The external thread of the outer sleeves and the thread of the associated pipe socket can be cylindrical or also slightly conical, in the latter case fewer rotations of the pipe socket are required to establish the connection with the same thread length.
. In a further embodiment of the invention, the pipe socket can be secured by two lock nuts, which are provided on both sides of the pipe socket on the external threads of the outer sockets, with the lock nuts having protruding edges which overlap the tapered ends of the pipe socket to improve self-locking. The lock nuts sit on the external thread of the outer sleeves before the sections are assembled and are tightened after assembly. This results in a secure connection between the sections of the pipe strings, which is not released even by vibrations during operation, which is particularly important in oil production technology in order to avoid “nailing” the probe.
According to a further feature of the invention, the inner sleeve of one coupling part can have a conical recess into which the conically shaped end of the inner sleeve of the other coupling part engages, with at least one of the two conical surfaces being provided with a sealing support, e.g. B. made of plastic or rubber, which is preferably vulcanized.
Due to the conical design of the sealing surfaces between the two inner sleeves, on the one hand, an assembly without care is made possible, since when the two outer sleeves are screwed together, the end of one inner sleeve will certainly slide into the conical recess of the other inner sleeve, and on the other hand, there is one secure sealing between the two inner sleeves is guaranteed, since a snug fit between the two adjacent conical surfaces can be produced in a simple manner.
According to the invention, a further improvement can also be achieved in that the outer sleeves are sealed against one another by means of a sealing ring which is more elastic in the axial direction than the seal between the two inner sleeves. The two coupling parts are screwed together until the conical end of one inner sleeve is firmly in contact with the inner wall of the conical recess of the other inner sleeve via the sealing support. The more elastic sealing ring between the outer sleeves is dimensioned in such a way that, when the inner sleeves lie tightly on top of one another, it always guarantees a secure seal for the outer sleeves as well.
Further details and advantages of the invention can be found in the following description of an exemplary embodiment, which is shown in the drawing. In this FIG. 1 shows an axial center section through the pipe coupling according to the invention and FIG. 2 shows a section along the line IN - IL in FIG.
The pipe coupling shown consists of two coupling parts 1 and 2, each of which consists of two nested sleeves. The outer sleeves, designed as pipe ends, are labeled 3 and 4 and the inner sleeves are labeled 5 and 6. The sleeves 3 and 5 are firmly connected by means of webs 7 and the sleeves 4 and 6 by means of webs 8. As can be seen from FIG. 2, continuous throughflow openings 9 are left free between the webs 7 and 8 in the axial direction.
The two coupling parts 1 and 2 are sealingly connected to one another. The outer sleeves 3 and 4 are provided at their abutting ends with differently threaded external threads, the sleeve 3, for example, with a right-handed thread and the sleeve 4 with a left-handed thread, and a pipe sleeve 10 with a corresponding internal thread is screwed onto the external thread. For sealing, a sealing ring 11 is arranged in a circumferential groove in the interior of the pipe socket 10, on which the sockets 3 and 4 rest with their end faces. On both sides of the pipe socket 10, a counter nut 12 and 13 is provided on each of the external threads, which have protruding edges 14 and 15 which overlap the conically beveled ends of the pipe socket 10 to improve the self-locking.
A plug connection is provided between the inner sleeves 5 and 6; the inner sleeve 6 deb coupling part 2 has a conical recess 16 into which the conical end 17 of the inner sleeve 5 of the coupling part 1 engages. The conical surface of the end 17 is provided with a sealing pad 18, for. B. made of rubber, which is sealingly applied to the inner surface of the recess 16. The sealing pad 18 can advantageously be vulcanized onto the conical end 17 with a special type of rubber and turned off for a snug fit with the inner surface of the conical recess 16.
To connect the abutting ends of the sections of the pipe strings, the coupling parts 1 and 2 are each arranged on one end thereof. The sleeves 3 and 4 are attached to the ends of the outer tube and the sleeves 5 and 6 to the ends of the inner tube of the same section. The
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Fastening can take place by welding or by means of a screw connection, but a plug connection can also be provided between one of the two sleeves of a coupling part and the associated pipe. In the execution bracket according to Fig. l only the ends 19 and 20 of the inner tubes are shown, the end 19 of the overhead tube being screwed into the socket 5 and the end 20 of the lower lying tube into the socket 6. Sealing rings 21 and 22 are provided for sealing.
The ends 19 and 20 can also consist of pipe pieces that are connected to the inner pipes of the pipe string, for. B. be welded. In the exemplary embodiment, the outer sleeves 3 and 4 are designed as pipe ends which are welded to the outer pipes of the pipe string. But they can also be provided with an internal thread and screwed onto the outer tubes. The coupling parts 1 and 2 are expediently attached to the ends of the sections of the pipe strings in the workshop, so that the nested pipes of each section are firmly connected to one another during transport.
The assembly of the individual sections of the pipe runs is simple and quick. When using the pipe strings, for example in petroleum production, a section with the appropriate tool is first inserted into a prepared borehole and the upper end, which z. B. is provided with the coupling part 2, intercepted by clamping parts above days. The next section is then swiveled in and the lower end of the same, which is provided with the coupling part 1, is placed on the upper end of the section already in the borehole.
The pipe socket 10, which is conveniently already over with three to four threads on one coupling part, is then rotated by means of a tool, whereby the two coupling parts and thus the sections of the pipe strings are screwed together according to the different thread. The conical end 17 of the sleeve 5 slides into the conical recess 16 of the sleeve 6. The pipe sleeve 10 is rotated until the sealing support 18 rests firmly against the inner wall of the conical recess 16. That is useful. The sealing ring 11 is more elastic in the axial direction than the sealing support 18. so that when the end 17 is stuck in the recess 16, the two outer sleeves 3 and 4 are also sealed against one another. To secure the screw connection through the pipe socket 10, the two counter nuts 2 and 13 are then tightened.
The pipe coupling is released in the same way, but in the reverse order. A rotation of the sections of the pipe runs themselves is not necessary either when connecting or releasing the pipe coupling.
