Gear housing for axle drives of rail vehicles
The invention relates to a gear housing for axle drives of rail vehicles, in which a pinion shaft is driven by the drive shaft via a bevel gear set and a spur gear arranged on the drive axis is driven by this, the drive shaft being arranged above the drive axis and at least in the outer walls of the housing is stored and this crosses at right angles, whereas the
Pinion shaft is parallel to the drive axis in the plane of the drive shaft and the housing also has a single flat parting line which is inclined to the horizontal and through the center of the axis of the
Driving wheel set and the pinion shaft is placed.
Since the drive shaft is supported in one housing half by means of a bearing and in the other half of the housing by means of a further bearing, difficulties usually arise when assembling and disassembling the gear unit.
The invention provides a gear housing for axle drives which does not have such
Has more difficulties. This is achieved according to the invention in that the parting line intersects the bearing bore of the housing in the area of one of the driveshaft bearings, which is designed as a cylindrical roller bearing or a similar way, so that the diameter of the drive shaft or the parts seated on it at least in the area of the bearing cut by the parting line is smaller than the smallest width of the cutting opening. In this case, the lower part of the gear housing can be expanded downwards perpendicular to the plane of the parting line.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows the view of the gearbox on the drive side, FIG. 2 shows the top view of the lower gearbox housing with the upper part of the housing lifted off, FIG. 3 shows a section along line ICI-ICI of FIG. 2 through the entire gearbox housing and FIG Section along line IV-IV of Fig. 2, also through the entire gear housing.
The transmission 1 consists of the lower housing part 2 and the upper housing part 3. The transmission 1 is arranged on the drive axle 4 and is held on the vehicle frame by a support 5. The drive takes place via the connection flange 6 and the drive shaft 7. The drive can also be carried out from the connection flange 8. The drive shaft 7 is guided in the bearings 18, 20 and 21.
The bearing 20 is attached to the upper part 3 of the housing. The drive shaft 7 has a bevel gear 9 which meshes with a bevel gear 10 on the pinion shaft. While the drive shaft 7 crosses the drive axis 4 at right angles and leads over or under it, the pinion shaft 11 lies parallel to the drive axis 4 in the plane of the drive shaft 7. The pinion shaft 11 carries the pinion 12, which with the gear 13 attached to the drive axis 4 in Intervention is.
The two housing parts 2 and 3 are connected to one another in the parting line 14 at the flanges 15 and 16. The parting line 14 lies in an inclined plane which leads through the centers of the drive axis 4 and the pinion shaft 11. The parting line 14 simultaneously cuts the bearing bore 17 of the housing in the area of one bearing 18 of the drive shaft 7. The bearing 18 is inserted in a separate sleeve 24 that can be pulled off before the drive shaft 7 is removed, and is also of a type that allows the outer ring to be pulled off 25 permitted by the inner ring 22 pressed onto the shaft 7 in the usual way, e.g. B. a cylindrical roller bearing or a one-sided axial ball bearing. The cut is made such that the smallest width 19 of the cut opening is greater than the diameter of the drive shaft 7 and the inner bearing ring 22 remaining on the shaft.
Before lowering the housing part 2, the connecting flange 6 is removed from the shaft 7. Furthermore, the cover 23 with the sleeve 24 and the bearing outer ring 25 must be removed.

Due to the special position of the parting line 14, it is possible to lower the housing part 2 downwards at right angles to the parting line plane 14, the pinion shaft 11 with its pinion 12 and the bevel gear 10 then also being lowered, whereas the drive shaft 7 remains in the upper part 3 of the housing .
The drive axle 4 also retains its position, since the rail vehicle rests on the drive axle.
