<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to alpine skis or snowboards with a symmetrically diverging p 1 a n e: r increase beginning on the underside of the tread surface behind the automatic heel unit in the middle of the tread.
The same applies to the automatic heel unit.
EMI1.1
Alpine skis (snowboards) can only be achieved if the skier (snowboard rider) puts the necessary pressure on the inner edges and this presupposes that the necessary technology is mastered.
It is therefore important to have S & igr at your disposal that meets the requirements of a good structure and design
Correspond to driving technique.

The shape of the known, normally used skis should be improved in such a way that overall there is an improved handling, but in particular also the cornering and gliding is improved.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that on the underside of the tread surface there is an increase that begins symmetrically in wedge shape and starts behind the automatic heel and in the middle of the tread.
Other features and details of the invention can be found in the following description. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the figures.
F i g. 1 shows a side view of the ski according to the invention.
F i g. 2 shows a view of the underside of the tread surface with the elevation according to the invention behind the automatic heel unit.
F i g. 3 shows a section through the ski in. Cross-section,. the underside of the tread surface is level.
F i g. 4 shows the skiing surface with the longitudinal grooves located therein. which are not important.
F i g. 5 shows the skiing surface with the increase according to the invention in front of the automatic heel unit.
The ski 1 is built so that its top 4, on which
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
as is known, the binding is attached, is flat, while the underside 9 (sliding surface) has a special profile (wedge-shaped elevation) 5, which is the essence of the present invention.
The edges 8 of the ski 1 are parallel to one another, while the plane elevation 5 of the sliding surface at the end of the ski 2 extends up to close to the edges 8 and then tapers symmetrically to the running groove 7.
The ski according to the invention can be constructed in various ways for the production of the elevation 5. So it is possible to achieve the elevation 5 either behind the automatic heel or in front of the automatic heel by making the ski normally with a punched-out sliding surface and inserting the elevation 5 after grinding the running surface or the ski already 'with a prefabricated base increase is built.
