<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

has a temperature which differs from the mold plates and which is accommodated in a mold plate and opens into a mold plate in the area of the mold cavity at an inlet bore.
It is known to supply heat-vulcanizing or solidifying elastomeric materials, such as liquid-solid silicone, rubber, rubber, etc., to a mold cavity via a feed channel, and if a plurality of mold cavities or a mold cavity with larger dimensions is provided, a distributor spider is also used can be. The feed channels through which the material is injected into the mold cavities under pressures of 1000 to 2000 bar and the mold cavities, which are delimited by mold plates, are heated so that the material quickly solidifies or vulcanizes. The injection molded parts are then separated from the sprue bars. This has the disadvantage that, on the one hand, this leads to high material losses, since the sprue bars have to be disposed of as waste, and that undesired tearing out or burrs can occur at the separation point.
In order to solve this problem, it was proposed in EP 162 037 A to guide a cooled injection nozzle through a heated mold plate and to form a cannula at the tip of the injection nozzle, the attachment head of which, possibly with an enlarged diameter, is fitted into the inlet opening of the mold cavity. This precise fitting of the cannula into the inlet opening is intended to prevent the material injected under very high pressure from escaping through a gap between the cannula and the mold plate. Since the material can escape due to the high pressure, but already through a gap of a few thousandths of a millimeter, the technical requirements in the production of the known injection mold are very high, which has a disadvantageous effect on the production costs of the injection mold.
From AT 401 253 B an injection mold is known in which the injection nozzle opens into a prechamber which is openly connected to the mold cavity at a distance from the mold cavity. With this injection mold, the high technical outlay for fitting the cannula into the inlet opening of the mold cavity is avoided, but it is difficult to control the heat flow in the region of the transition between the antechamber and mold cavity in such a way that the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Injection molded part tears off smoothly from the plug that forms in the prechamber so that no breakouts or burrs remain on the injection molded part. When the injection process is repeated, the plug is then injected into the mold cavity and, when the mold cavity is filled again, a new plug is formed, from which the injection molded part must be separated again.
The invention has for its object to provide an injection mold of the type mentioned, which does not have the disadvantages of the prior art.
This object is achieved in that the injection nozzle rests on the mold plate in the region of the nozzle tip under the action of a force which loads it in the direction of the mold cavity.
The injection mold according to the invention has the advantage over EP 162 037 A that it is not necessary to use a cannula which has to be fitted into the inlet opening of the mold cavity with great technical effort.
Compared to AT 401 253 B, apart from avoiding the disadvantage mentioned above, the advantage is achieved that changing the injection nozzle can be carried out more easily because the annular space behind the mouth of the injection nozzle is not filled with material, so that when changing the injector no problems if z. B. a new injector with different outer dimensions is used.
In the case of the injection mold according to the invention, the force which presses the injection nozzle against the mold plate produces a sufficiently high force to ensure the seal with respect to the annular space between the injection nozzle and the mold plate.
On the other hand, however, it is also ensured in a simple manner that changes in length due to temperature fluctuations of the mold plate and / or the injection nozzle lead to deterioration in the exact positioning of the nozzle tip in the region of the inlet opening, since the injection nozzle or its nozzle tip may be damaged the force is constantly pressed against the mold plate.
Another advantage that arises from this is that dimensional deviations in the manufacture of the injection nozzle and the mold plate can be compensated, as a result of which the manufacture of the injection mold according to the invention can be simplified and made cheaper.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
A preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the injection nozzle is pressed against the mold plate by the force of a spring, it being further preferred that the spring is a plate spring.
In practice, wear tips that can be removed from the injection nozzle are often used to convert the injection mold to other hardenable or vulcanizing, elastomeric materials.
In such embodiments, it is preferred in the invention that the spring is arranged between the nozzle body of the injection nozzle and the wear tip and that the wear tip is axially displaceably mounted in the nozzle body.
The spring is supported on the one hand on the nozzle body and on the other hand on the wear tip and presses the latter against the mold plate in the area of the inlet bore.
Further features and advantages of the invention result from the remaining subclaims and the following description of exemplary embodiments of the invention with reference to the drawings. 1 to 3 show three versions of essentially identical injection molds, which, however, differ in the area of the nozzle tip on the mold plate in the area of the inlet bore, FIG. 1 showing an embodiment in which the nozzle tip and the contact surface 2 are an embodiment in which a flat contact surface between the nozzle tip and the mold plate is at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the injection nozzle, and FIG. 3 shows an embodiment in which the contact surface of the mold plate is conical and the nozzle tip is rounded is trained.
Common to all the exemplary embodiments of injection molds according to the invention shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is that they have two mold plates 1 and 2, which enclose a mold cavity 6 and which are heated. An insulating plate 3 is provided on the back of the molding plate 2. A cooling plate 5 connects to the insulating plate 3, in which an injection

a sleeve 13 is pushed, the cooling channels 14 closes to the outside, which are provided on the outer wall of the nozzle body 8. The cooling channels 14 are connected to bores 4 in the cooling plate 5, through which cooling liquid flows in and out. is dissipated.
In order to prevent cooling liquid from escaping, two sealing rings 9 are provided in the area of the cooling plate 5 and seal the injection nozzle 8 ′ from the cooling plate 5.
In order to prevent material from escaping in the area of the connection 19 of the injection nozzle, a sealing ring 10 is provided.
At the end facing the mold cavity 6, a wear tip 15 is slidably mounted in the axial direction on the nozzle body 8. For this purpose, a cylindrical guide part 23 is arranged on the wear tip 15 and is axially displaceably received in a cylindrical bore in the nozzle body 8. In this cylindrical guide part 23, a nozzle cone 24 is arranged, which forms the transition between an injection bore 17 with a larger diameter in the nozzle body 8 to a tip bore 16 with a smaller diameter in the wear tip 15.
Between the end face of the nozzle body 8 and a shoulder on the wear tip 15, a plate spring 7 is arranged, which presses the wear tip 15 constantly against the contact surface 21 on the mold plate 2. Instead of a plate spring 7, of course, any other spring element can be used that fulfills this purpose.
Alternatively, the entire injector can of course also be used

points.
Due to the plate spring 7, the nozzle tip 22 of the wear tip 15 is constantly pressed against the system 21 in the area of the inlet bore 18, as a result of which the inlet bore 18 is sealed off from an annular space 12 which adjoins the rear and which is between the insulating plate 3 and the molding plate 2 and the injector 8 'is provided for insulation purposes.
The shape of the contact between the nozzle tip 22 and the contact surface 21 can be carried out in various ways.
1, for example, an embodiment is shown
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
provides, in which both the nozzle tip 22 and the contact surface 21 are rounded, preferably spherical cap-shaped with the same radius of curvature.
FIG. 2 in turn shows an embodiment in which the end face of the nozzle tip 22 and the contact surface 21 are level and at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the injection nozzle 8 ′.
Finally, FIG. 3 shows an embodiment in which the contact surface 21 is conical and the nozzle tip 22 is rounded.
In the embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2, a flat contact is thus created between the nozzle tip 22 and the molding plate 2, whereas in the embodiment according to FIG. 3 there is an essentially linear contact.
The embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 3 in turn have in common that the nozzle tip 22 is automatically centered on the mold plate 2 in the region of the inlet bore 18, so that there can be no lateral offset between the nozzle mouth and the inlet bore 18.
In alternative embodiments, not shown in the drawings, it can also be provided that the nozzle tip 22 is conical and the contact surface 21 of the mold plate 2 is inward, ie. H. towards the nozzle tip 21, is rounded, or that both the nozzle tip 22 and the contact surface 21 of the molding plate 2 are conical.
In all three embodiments shown in the drawings, the injection nozzle 8 ′ opens at a distance from the mold cavity 6 and the diameter of the injection bore 17 is larger than the diameter of the inlet bore 18 in order to be able to compensate for a slight lateral offset of the nozzle tip 22 with respect to the inlet bore 18 is particularly advantageous in the embodiment of FIG. 2.
In an alternative embodiment, not shown in the drawings, it can also be provided that the nozzle tip 22 is brought close or directly to the mold cavity 6, in which case the inlet bore 18 can also have a larger diameter than the tip bore 16.
For the sake of completeness it is stated that in the injection mold according to the invention with larger dimensions or
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
More complicated geometry of the mold cavity more than one injector can be provided in a mold cavity.
In summary, an embodiment of the invention can be represented as follows:

Mold plate 2 is received and opens at a distance from the mold cavity (6) at an inlet bore 18 in a mold plate 2.
The injection nozzle 8 'lies in the area of the nozzle tip 22 under the action of a spring 7 which loads it in the direction of the mold cavity 6 against the mold plate 2, so that both a good seal between the nozzle tip 22 and the inlet bore 18 as well as a slippage of changes in length Injection nozzle 8 'and the mold plate 2 is given due to temperature fluctuations.
