Soundboard for pianinos
EMI1.1
like the first rib for the bass bridge, whereby the rib stiffness is essentially the same for the transition from treble to bass. According to the invention, the outline of the soundboard is formed by a rectangle, from which two corners are separated in the bass part after a concave curve and in the treble part one corner after a partly convex, partly concave curve. According to one embodiment of the invention, the outline of the soundboard is formed from a rectangle, of which a corner in the bass part and a corner in the treble part by a straight line enclosing an acute angle, which are laid in such a way that the soundboard in the bass part has the greatest length in the direction of the ribs having, are separated.
The effect of the soundboard according to the invention can additionally be increased by replacing the front box wall with a sound-permeable fabric or the like.
The soundboard according to the invention has the ability to vibrate as a piston diaphragm, d. H. it can oscillate both about the x and about the y and z axes. Reinforcing the soundboard with ribs, the principle of Wagner's membrane is realized. The improved ability of the soundboard to vibrate results in the desired sound radiation, with the possibility of achieving this sound radiation in all pitches in the desired strength and also influencing the timbre. The soundboard according to the invention also has the advantage that it can be used without changing the usual structure of a pianino, in particular without changing it

and a treble part 2 which is mechanically coupled to the vibrating part 1.
Of the
The treble part 2 is expediently delimited by the straight line 3 running tangentially to the circular oscillation part 1 and the concave curve 4 which also merges tangentially into the circular oscillation part 1. 5 and 6 are the bars for attaching the strings. With 7 some strings are indicated.
The approximation of the soundboard shown in Fig. 2 to the theoretically most favorable
The shape according to FIG. 1 is again inscribed in the usual rectangular outline of a soundboard for pianos. The convex curves 8 and 9 result in two of this rectangular shape
Corners cut off, while the third corner is separated by a partly concave, partly convex curve. This results in a shape of the soundboard that is practically the same
Has vibration properties like the shape according to FIG. 1. 5 and 6 are again the two webs for fastening the strings. Ribs I-IX are attached to the underside of the soundboard and have a longitudinal profile, as shown in FIG. The ribs are arranged radially so that their length increases from the treble towards the bass.
The longitudinal profile of the ribs is chosen so that the stiffness of the ribs decreases from the treble towards the bass. The longitudinal profile of the ribs has two turning points Wauf. The imaginary connecting lines of these turning points are indicated by dashed lines and result from the drawing that these lines essentially run parallel to the outline of the soundboard, but closer to the edge in the treble part than in the bass part, which further influences the vibration frequency of the bottom parts.
The embodiment of the soundboard shown in FIG. 3 is intended for industrial mass production and is even further simplified compared to the embodiment according to FIG. In this embodiment, the curves 8 and 10 are replaced by straight lines 11 and 12 which enclose an acute angle with one another. The design and arrangement of the ribs IIX is the same as described above.
