Display device, in particular for testing the insulation of electrical lines
In technology there is often a need to measure small DC voltage changes, such as those that occur e.g. B. occur in circuits for insulation or resistance measurements without visually or acoustically indicating any significant power consumption from the measuring device or triggering switching devices.

The invention relates to a display device with a differential circuit for the aforementioned purposes, the counteracting components of which are generated in mutually parallel current branches which, according to the invention, are fed via a common series resistor, wherein the one parallel current branch expediently contains an electron tube which is controlled as a function of the size to be displayed becomes.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown in simplified form. 1 and 2 are the coils of a differential relay, which are in parallel branches. One of these current branches leads via an electron tube 3, the other via the resistor 4. The current of the tube is changed by the control voltage applied at 6, 7. The resistor 4 is dimensioned so that the currents flowing in the coils 1 and the differential relay cancel each other out in the rest state. The two parallel branches are fed via the common series resistor 5 from the current source from 8 and 9. When a control voltage occurs at terminals 6, 7 z.

   B. in the sense of an increase in the current in the coil 1, the voltage drop in the resistor 5 increases, so that the voltage portion allotted to the resistor and the coil 2 decreases. As a result, the current in the coil 2 decreases. An increase in current in coil 1 therefore results in a current decrease in coil 2 and vice versa, as a result of which a high sensitivity is achieved. An optimal effect can be achieved by suitable dimensioning of the resistance values of the two parallel current branches and the series resistor 5 and by appropriate selection of the number of turns for the coils 1 and 2.

By making contact at 10, a working circuit can be closed in a manner known per se.
