  Seilspanner.

  Rope tensioner.

Cable tensioners are already known in a wide variety of designs. The present invention differs from the known devices essentially in that the rope fastened at only one end is tensioned in the simplest and fastest way and the tension achieved is retained.

The rope tensioner according to the invention consists of the following components: a straight leg a and a bent leg b, both of which are pivotable about a pivot point c. On the leg a there are two flaps d bent at right angles and a bracket e on the opposite end; a hole t on the leg b, which is intended to accommodate one end of the rope.

Fig. 1 shows the rope tensioner in a perspective view, Fig. 2 in a top view, Fig. 3 in a side view. Figs. 4 and 5 illustrate the tensioner in use, u. Between. Fig. 4 shows the tensioner before, Fig. 5 after tension.

The tension is operated as follows: The rope i attached to a fixed point h (Fig. 4 and 5) is wrapped around a second fixed point g, then the leg b is tightened in the direction of the fixed point h, the rope is placed between the upright lugs d , then the bracket a in the direction towards the fixed point h is moved around 1800 and the bracket e is suspended in the tensioned rope.
