Die Erfindung betrifft ein in einen Kasten od. dgl. umwandelbares Bett nach Patent Nr. 131986, bei welchem mit den Häuptern Tragplatten verbunden sind, in denen die Bettseitenteile drehbar gelagert sind, und besteht in an den Tragplatten befestigten Anschlägen zwecks Anhebens der Bettseitenteile.
Auf der Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsgegenstand in einer beispielsweisen Ausführungsform dargestellt. Um dies zu erreichen, muss der Drehpunkt 7 der Bettseitenteile in den Tragplatten von der Betthauptvorderfläche und der oberen Kante der Bettseitenteile gleichen Abstand besitzen. Um das Betthaupt stabil zu machen, ist dieses mit einem Rollenstützfuss 8 ausgerüstet. Der Betteinsatz 9 besteht aus zwei Teilen, welche mit Zapfen 10 auf den beschlagenen oberen Kanten der Tragplatten 2 verschiebbar gelagert sind. Ausserdem liegen die Einsätze in ihrer Gebrauchsstellung mit den Zapfen 11 ihres Vorderendes auf den oberen Kanten der Bettseitenteile auf. An der Innenseite der Tragplatten 2 sind Anschlagleisten 12 befestigt, an welche sieh die Enden der aufgestellten Einsatzhälften bei zusammengeklapptem Bett anlegen.
Die Füsse 13 sind um Bettseitendicke von der Seitenkante der Betthäupter nach innen gerückt, damit sich die Bettseitenteile an ihnen vorbeidrehen können.
Gemäss der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 5 und 6 sind die Enden 17 der Bettseitenteile kreisbogen-

Die Schwächung der Häupter durch die seitliche Ausnehmung ist nur ganz gering. Die Ränder 16 der Führungsstücke schliessen bei zusammengeschobenen Häuptern aneinander an.
Durch das Führungsstück 14 wird die Fuge zwischen den Hälften der Bettseitenteile verdeckt, die. beim Zusammenklappen des Bettes entsteht.
