Verschluss für Taschen, Koffer, Kasten u. dgl.
Der Universalverschluss gemäss der Erfindung soll einen sicheren, in der Handhabung einfachen Verschluss bilden, der auch als"Geheimverschluss" Verwendung finden kann. Sein Verwendungsgebiet erstreckt sich nicht nur auf das Gebiet der Ledergalanteriewaren, wie Handtaschen, Zigarettenetuis u. dgl., sondern auch auf alle Reiseartikel wie Koffer, Reisetaschen u. dgl.
Bei stärkerer Konstruktion der Einzelteile kann der Verschluss auch für Kassetten aller Art sowie für Kasten und Schreibtische Anwendung finden, so dass er einen Universalverschluss darstellt.
Kennzeichnend für die Konstruktion ist, dass an einem der beiden zu schliessenden Teile ein U-för- miges Verschlussstück so angeordnet ist, dass es sich mit seinen Schenkeln gegen die Drehachse der beiden Schliessteile zu in hohlen Führungen (wie Hohlzylindern jeglichen Querschnittes oder in Ringen) verschieben lässt, so dass es in der Schliessstellung in Fortsetzungen dieser hohlen Führungen am andern Teile eingreift und diesen erfasst und festhält.

Die Anordnung ist nun weiters so getroffen, dass im offenen Zustande der Weg des U-förmigen Verschlussstückes durch ein Absperrorgan (Feder od. dgl. ) versperrt ist, welcher Weg erst beim Schliessen des Verschlusses durch Beiseiteschieben des Hindernisses freigegeben wird. Die Schenkel des Verschlussstückes und des Führungsteiles sind behufs genauer Führung in Nut und Feder geführt, um ein sicheres Verschlussstück zu bilden.
Das Sperr-oder Verriegelungsorgan zur Verhinderung der Bewegung des Versehlussstüekes im offenen Zustande ist meist eine unter Spannung stehende Drahtfeder, deren entsprechend gebogenes Ende die Sperre verursacht und zur rechten Zeit nach dem Schliessen des Verschlusses zur Seite gedrängt wird, um den Weg für das Sperrorgan freizugeben.
Natürlich kann auch ein anderes Sperrorgan, wie eine kontrollierbare Schnappfeder, Verwendung finden.

Am andern Teile 2 dieses Verschlusses sind ebenfalls zylindrische Führungsrohre 7 so angeordnet, dass sie im geschlossenen Zustande auf die Führungrohre 4 passen und so eine Fortsetzung derselben bilden, in welche die Schenkel 5 des Verschlussstückes 6 beim weiteren Hineinschieben eingreifen.
Eine Feder 8 stützt sich mit dem einen Ende an der oberen Kante 10 des Teiles 1 ab und sperrt mit dem andern Ende 9 den Hohlkörper (wenn der Verschluss offen ist) ab. Dieses Ende 9 wird, wie aus Fig. 2 ersichtlich, beim Schliessen des Verschlusses durch den Hohlkörper 7 weggedrängt und so der Weg für das Einschieben des Versehlussstüekes 6 freigemacht.
