Verfahren zur Gewinnung konzentrierter Ameisensäure aus einem Gemisch von Calciumformiat mit konzentrierter Ameisensäure durch Umsetzung mit einer äquivalenten Menge Schwefelsäure und Abdestillieren der Ameisensäure bei gewöhnlichem oder vermindertem Druck, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man der Aufschlämmung des Calciumformiates vor der Umsetzung mit Schwefelsäure wasserfreies oder wasserhaltiges Natriumsulfat in einer Menge von 1 bis 10   0/   des angewendeten Caleiumformiates zusetzt.
