Description

Illuminated circuit diagram with built-in measuring instruments.

An illuminated circuit diagram is such a schematic and scaled-down reproduction of the circuitry of a distribution system for electricity or flowing media, the individual elements of which appear luminous on an opaque wall or, depending on their operating status, appear dark.

The operation of such a circuit diagram is generally automatic, in that the lighting of each individual element of the circuit diagram is made dependent either on the state of power or the voltage of the corresponding system parts. It is also known to insert measuring instruments into such a luminous circuit diagram, by means of which the values of the distribution system worth knowing are displayed at the points of the luminous circuit diagram to which the measuring instrument is connected in the distribution system. The scales of the instruments built into the luminous circuit diagram were continuously illuminated either from the front by incident light or from the rear by translucent light. With the former type one can use the measuring instruments customary up to now, while the latter type corresponds more to the character of the luminous circuit diagram.

In order to fully adapt to this character in order to avoid distraction and confusion of the operator of the switchgear and the switching errors caused thereby, the measuring instruments inserted into the luminous circuit diagram as well as its other individual elements are automatically illuminated or not according to the invention, depending on the operating state of the system parts.

Is z. If, for example, a line going from the busbars is switched off in an electrical distribution system, not only the symbol corresponding to this line darkens on the illuminated circuit diagram, but also the measuring instruments that are connected to the line and measure current, voltage and power in the line, lose their lighting. Or if a steam turbine is taken out of operation in a steam power plant, according to the invention, not only the symbol of the turbine but also the measuring instruments indicating the pressure in this turbine should be dark in the illuminated circuit diagram.

If the luminous image is set up for light in different colors, which characterize different operating states, then according to the invention the measuring instrument can be subjected to the same color change. But you can also set up the device in such a way that the instrument remains unaffected by the color change and shines evenly and uniformly during operation.
