In den, bloss beispielshalber, beigefügten Zeichnungen stellen dar : Fig. 1 schematisch einen Bajonettfuss einer Zweifadenlampe ; Fig. 2 schematisch einen Gewindefuss einer Zweifadenlampe ; Fig. 3 schematisch eine Ansicht einer Umschaltvorrichtung für einen Bajonettfuss ; Fig. 4 schaubildlich eine Vorrichtung zur Umschaltung mit Hilfe eines abnehmbaren, gebogenen Teiles, für eine Lampe mit einem, drei abgestufte Kontakte aufweisenden Gewindefuss ; Fig. 5 und 6 zeigen im Aufriss zwei mögliche Lagen des gebogenen Umschaltteiles ; Fig. 7 stellt im lotrechten Schnitt eine Lampe mit einem Gewindefuss dar, welcher mit einem schwenkbaren Umschalthebel versehen ist ; Fig. 8 ist ein lotrechter Schnitt nach 8-8 der Fig. 7 ;

Device for supplying lamps with two threads.
. The invention relates to two-filament electric incandescent lamps which have a connection point common to both filaments. The invention aims to simplify the construction of the switching elements of such incandescent lamps as much as possible. In the case of bayonet lamp bases, this is achieved in that three contacts are arranged in a straight line and at equal distances from one another and a rod is provided that slides in the base and allows each external contact to be connected to the internal contact. In the case of a lamp with a threaded base, the switching device is formed by a removable curved part which is supported against two of three contacts that are located in three different planes.
In the drawings attached, purely by way of example, show: FIG. 1 schematically a bayonet base of a two-filament lamp; 2 schematically shows a thread base of a two-filament lamp; 3 shows a schematic view of a switching device for a bayonet base; 4 is a diagrammatic view of a device for switching with the aid of a removable, curved part for a lamp with a threaded base having three stepped contacts; FIGS. 5 and 6 show, in elevation, two possible positions of the curved switchover part; 7 shows, in vertical section, a lamp with a threaded base which is provided with a pivotable changeover lever; Fig. 8 is a vertical section along 8-8 of Fig. 7;
9 shows, in a vertical section according to 9-9 of FIG. 10, a bayonet socket which is provided with a changeover switch according to the invention; Fig. 10 shows this version seen from below; Figure 11 is a vertical section taken along 11-11 of Figure 9; 12 is a vertical partial section through a threaded socket equipped with a changeover switch according to the invention; 11a illustrates, in section, an embodiment of the switching device assembled with the socket; 13 to 21 show schematically the different feed arrangements of two-filament lamps in different embodiments of the switching device forming the subject of the invention.
Since the device forming the subject of the invention extends indiscriminately to two-filament lamps with a bayonet base and a lace thread, a bayonet base and a base with a thread with a lamp are illustrated in FIGS.
The bayonet base (Fig. 1) has three contacts 1, 2, 3 in the usual way, which are arranged in a straight line and at equal intervals. The ends a and b of the threads 6, 7 are connected to the external contacts 1 by means of intermediate conductors 4, 5, while the point c common to the two threads leads to the contact 2 via a conductor 8.
The lamp with threaded base shown schematically in FIG. 2 is designed as follows according to the invention: The end a of the thread 6 is connected by the conductor 4 to a central contact 1 arranged on the bottom 9 of the base. The common point c leads with the mediation of the conductor 8 z. B. to a lateral contact 2. The end b of the thread 7 is connected laterally by a conductor 5, at 3, to the metal mass 10 of the foot.
The various supply circuits or arrangements can be obtained by connecting the device according to the invention either with the lamp bases according to FIGS. 1, 2 or with special sockets described below.
According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 3 and the diagram of FIG. 15, a single channel allows sliding channels either below the contacts in one or in the other of two grooves provided in the glass compound or in the metal parts of the contacts
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Metal rod 12 to connect one of the external contacts 1, 3 to the central contact 2. As a result of this arrangement, even when using an ordinary socket with two contacts, which correspond to the contacts 1, 3, it is possible to achieve that only one of the threads 6, 7 receives current, which fact can be advantageous if one of these threads breaks.
It should be noted that the lamp, the base of which is illustrated in FIG. 1, can normally be used without a rod 12 and with a conventional socket provided with two contacts. In this case the two threads are connected in series (FIG. 14), so that the lamp has a lower light intensity.
In the case of lamps with a threaded base, according to the invention, the arrangement shown in FIGS. 4-6 can be used using a conventional threaded socket with a central contact.
According to this exemplary embodiment, the contacts 1, 2, 3 are at different heights. The highest contact is the middle 1, which is connected to the end a of the thread 6; the contact 2 of medium height corresponds to the common conductor 8 of the two threads 6, 7, while the lowermost contact 8 is connected to the metal wall 10 of the foot and to the end b of the other thread.
The contact 3 comes to light through a recess 13 provided in the insulating block 14 of the foot. The intermediate contact 2 is designed in such a way that it has a circular groove 15 into which the fork-shaped end 16 ′ of a cranked lamella 17 engages or fixes itself, which two positions can assume as soon as the fork is inserted into the groove 15 of the intermediate contact 2. In one position, the other end of the lamella is supported against the middle contact 1 (FIGS. 5 and 15) and only the thread 7 is fed; in the other position, the lamella is supported against the contact 8 (FIG. 6), so that only the thread 6 is fed. The same results are obtained in this way as when using the metal rods 12 (FIGS. 3 and 13) with a lamp with a bayonet socket.
Another solution is illustrated in FIGS. 7 and 8. According to this embodiment, the middle contact 1 is arranged in the shape of a piston and connected by a connection 18 to a lateral point 1 (, 1, which is connected by the conductor 4 to the end á of the thread 6. The end b of the other thread 7 is on the ground is connected at 3. The conductor 8 connected to the point c common to the two threads 6, 7 crosses the foot at an angle and reaches a recess 19 which is provided in the foot.
A switch lever 20 is arranged in this recess; the same is pivotable on the conductor 8 so that it can come into contact with the conductors 4 and 3, whereby the points a, c and c, b have the same potential; only one of the threads is fed here. In the intermediate position, the threads are connected in series.
In all of the above-mentioned embodiments, the switching element (rods 12, lamella 17, lever 20) is assembled with the lamp base. According to the invention, however, the switching device can also be assembled with a special socket with three contacts. the lamp base has no special organ.
EMI2.1
has a recess 22 above a carrier of the contacts 1 ', 2' and 3 'made of insulating material, in which a switching element consisting of a cylinder 23 (or a prism) made of insulating material is arranged. The cylinder sits on an axis 24 which ends outside the socket in a switch button 25. On the cylindrical (or prismatic) surface of the switching element, three metal tongues 26, 27, 28 are arranged, the tongue 27 of which consists of one with a metal casing or
There is calotte 29, which is provided on the lateral surface 30 of the switching element. The
EMI2.2
influenced locking ball 36 can penetrate, which partially penetrates through the lamella dz which presses against the surface 32 of the switching element by the spring 37.
Contacts 2 ″ and 3 ″, which are conductively connected to contacts 2 ′, 3 ′, penetrate into recess 22. The contact 3 ″ is in constant connection with the cylindrical part of the conductive casing 31. The contact 2 ″ comes one after the other, in three well-defined positions of the cylinder 23, to contact with the tongues 26, 27, 28.
Each drum position, which is determined by one of the recesses 35 into which the ball 36 penetrates, corresponds to a precisely defined thread feed.
The switching element allows either the feeding of one or the other thread (Fig. 17, 18) or the two threads in series (Fig. 19) or in parallel connection (Fig. 20) and finally a position corresponding to complete deactivation or extinction (Fig. 21).
The same switching element can obviously also be used for threaded sockets. In this case (Fig. 12) the contacts 1 ", 2" and 3 "are connected to the contacts or connections 1 ', 2' and 3 '. The contact 8' is connected to the metal ground of the socket. The middle contact 1 'is designed as a piston contact. The contact 2' is connected to a conductive disk 38.

closed, which is provided for the purpose of free passage of the central contact l 'with a bore. The outside diameter of the disc is selected such that the contact 2 of the lamp base (FIG. 2) can come into contact with it.
In FIG. 11 a, a different embodiment is shown, according to which the actuation or adjustment of the drum 28 of the switching element takes place by means of a tappet 38 influenced by a spring 39. The resilient lamella 40 forms a pawl which lies against the back of the teeth of a ratchet wheel 41 supported by the drum and rotates the drum 23 by a fifth of a full revolution when the plunger is pressed. The contacts 1 ", 2" and 3 "are in this case expediently replaced by resilient, appropriately bent lamellae, which ensure that the drum stops.
Of course, the invention is in no way restricted to the illustrated and described embodiments, which are only intended to apply as examples.
