Device for introducing granular or fibrous material to be conveyed into compressed air lines by means of a cellular wheel.
When conveying granular or fibrous material by means of air in pipelines, screw conveyors or cellular wheels are generally used to introduce the material to be conveyed into the air flow. In this case, however, difficulties arise easily in the conveying line, mainly at higher pressures, since the cells, especially when it comes to moist conveyed material, often do not empty completely into the conveying line, while screw conveyors are out of the question as feed means at higher pressures . As is well known, one tries to achieve complete emptying of the cells by supplying compressed air from the end face, sometimes with a higher voltage than that in the conveying line, to the bottom of the cells at the moment of emptying, and thus the filling into the conveying line drives.
However, this arrangement makes a relatively complex design of the allocation device necessary.
EMI1.1
of the cells of the allocation device can be achieved in a simpler manner, even at the highest conveying pressures and unfavorable conveyed goods, by designing the cells of the conveyor drum and the air supply and discharge channels in such a way that the cells form the connection between the two in the emptying position
EMI1.2
Form a continuous curved channel that enters and exits the rotor on the shell side.
With this arrangement, sealing surfaces are only available on the cylinder jacket, which are significantly simpler

The device is shown on the attached drawing in one embodiment, u. Between Fig. 1 shows a cross section according to 1-1 through the allocation device, Fig. 2 in the lower half shows an associated vertical longitudinal section, in the upper half a view of the allocation device.
A rotor E is rotatably mounted about its horizontal axis in a housing A with an inlet B located at the top and connection stubs located below for conveying air supply C and for air mixture discharge D. In the cylindrical surface of the rotor E there are cells E which are designed in such a way that they correspond to the apex of a line curvature formed by the air inlet and outlet duct.
In the direction of rotation next to the inlet there is a rotating brush F in the housing, on the reverse side there is a ventilation opening G.
Through the inlet B, the feeder is constantly fed to the feeder that is currently under

are cleaned when passing the brush F, after half a turn of the rotor E the cell arrives at the air supply C and the vegetable discharge D and establishes the connection between the two, so that a continuous curved channel is created. Since there is therefore no significant difference to the rest of the pipeline in this position, the conveyed material is the same
