  VerfahrenzurHerstellungeinerReinigungsmasse.

Process for the production of a cleaning compound.

Processes for the production of cleaning agents for a wide variety of purposes, which are mainly based on the fact that inorganic or organic acids are used as such or in conjunction with a wide variety of fat and water solvents, be it as a mixture or as an emulsion, are known. (Swiss patent specification No. 122023, Richter, Gutzwiller and Cie., British patent specification No. 255101, A. Schwenk.)
In addition to these, emulsions of protein substances such as casein in aqueous solution with a wide variety of fat and wax solvents are known. So those according to the German patents No. 347030 ex 1922, G. Brunnhübner, No. 420086 ex 1925, A. Schäfer, and those according to the British patent No. 262371 ex 1927, C. H. Thomson.

The present invention deals with the production of emulsions for cleaning purposes by heating casein with water, phosphoric acid (ortho), alkali phosphate and glycerine in a water bath and stirring it with various hydrocarbons, such as gasoline, petroleum, tetralin, hexalin, turpentine oil, etc. produces an ointment-like emulsion which, with water or one of the solvents mentioned, makes an excellent cleaning agent for a wide variety of purposes.

Example: 200 g casein are mixed with 2 liters of water until lump-free, in the water
 EMI1.1
and stirred well for a long time. If, after cooling, a mixture consisting of 12 kg of the most varied of hydrocarbons (fat and wax solvents) is added and stirred well for a longer period of time, a white, homogeneous, ointment-like mass is obtained which can be mixed with water or one of the previously mentioned fat and Diluted wax solvents, for cleaning purposes of various kinds, z. B. for parquet floors, is ideally suited.
