Doppel-Flaschenverschluss.

CARR-LOWREY GLASS CO., BALTIMORE (V. ST. A.).
Double bottle cap.
The subject of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a side view of the bottle, FIG. 2 shows a cross section of the upper part of the bottle, FIG. 3 shows diagrammatic views of the bottle neck, the lid and a closure.
The broad neck 1 of the vitreous; 2 of the bottle has a coarse internal thread 3, which extends to the upper edge. The lid 4 has a corresponding external thread and a side edge 5 which presses onto the edge of the bottle when the lid 4: is screwed in. The threads 3, 3 'are made very coarse and short and the cylindrical body of the lid is made as short as possible so that the lid can be removed by a simple twisting movement. Said cover is provided in the middle with an upwardly projecting neck 6 with a cylindrical opening 7.
The closure 8 has a wide head or side flange and a cylindrical, as short as possible body 9, which fits exactly into the opening 7 of the cover 4, and is provided with a groove running around it, while another groove. 11 breaks through the lower edge. The closure S 'is inserted into the neck in such a way that a conical projection slides up through the groove 11 and enters the groove 10 with a small twist, so that the closure 8 is thereby held in place.
The bottle is intended for tooth cleaning powder and other purposes. When the same is used for liquids. a cork washer 13 is required. Such a device can also be used between the lid 4 and the bottle neck. The purpose of this closure is to achieve easy opening and closing of the bottle, independent of the large screw closure, for pouring out the contents.
