Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Fussstützen, die dazu bestimmt sind, dem kranken Fuss einen guten Halt zu geben, insbesondere denselben so zu stützen, dass die Teile des Fusses in die natürliche Stellung eineq gesunden Fusses gebracht und in dieser gehalten werden. Die bisher verwendeten Stützen mit in die Fusswölbung einlegbarer Grundplatte und mit Gummibändern tragen dem kranken Fuss zu wenig Rechnung ; schwillt der Fuss an, so schneiden die Gummibänder tief in das Fleisch ein, ausserdem wird die Elastizität der Gummibänder durch den Schweiss rasch zerstört.
Um diesen Übelstand zu vermeiden, ist das Befestigungsband derart mit der Grundplatte verbunden, dass das zur Umfassung des Fussmittelteils geeignet hergerichtet Band beim Straffziehen nur mit seiner mittleren Bahn auf dem Fuss drückt, während seine Ränder lose am Fuss anliegen. Dadurch wird ein Einschneiden der Binde in das Fleisch und damit ein Wundwerden des Fusses sowie ein Hemmen der Blutzirkulation usw. vermieden.
Die Zeichnung zeigt ein Ausführungsbeisp el des Erfindungsgegenstandes.
Die Grundplatte besteht aus einem gewölbten, steifen Metgllstück 1 (Fig. 1), das zwei nach der Längsmittellinie der Platte hin konvex gekrümmte Schlitze 3, 5 besitzt. Im Schlitz 3 ist das eine Ende der Binde 2 befestigt. Die Binde besteht aus festem, nicht oder nur wenig dehnbarem Stoff und besitzt eine solche Länge, dass sie ein oder mehrere Male um einen normalen Fuss reicht und durch den Schlitz 5 gezogen werden kann (Fig. 3). Das freie Ende der Binde 2 trägt eine Schnur 4. Wird die Binde um den Fuss gelegt und straffgezogen (Fig. 4), o wird infolge der Krümmung der Schlitze 3 und 5 die Binde nur mit ihrer mittleren Bahn auf dey tub fest aufliegen, während ihre Ränder lose am Fuss anliegen.
Auf der Platte 1 ist ein auswechselbares Polster 6 (Fig. 2) angeordnet ; letzteres besitzt auf seiner Unterseite Lappen 7, mit denen es über die Enden der Platte 1 geschoben werden kann, so dass das Polster einen guten Halt an der Platte 1 erhält. Das Polster 6 wird dem kranken Fuss entsprechend so geformt, dass es diejenigen Knochen des Fusses stützt, die ihre natürliche Stellung verloren haben. Auf der Unterseite der Platte 1 ist ein Knopf 8 vorgesehen, auf welchem die Schnur 4 aufgewickelt wird, um die um den Fuss gelegte Binde 2 in ihrer straffen Lage festzuhalten. Dieser Knopf liegt in der Fusswölbung und übt an sich keinen Druck auf den Fuss aus. Das Festlegen der Binde um den Fuss kann vom Fussleidenden selbst ohne Mühe rasch bewirkt werden. Er hat es in der Hand, die Spannung der Binde zu erhöhen oder zu lockern.
Statt nur einer Binde könnten auch zwei Binden an der Platte 1 befestigt und über den Fuss hinweg sich kreuzend geführt und statt der Platte auch ein Drahtbügel usw. vorgesehen sein. Ferner können zwischen Platte und Polsterung noch Gummikörper usw. geschoben werden. Unter Umständen ist es vorteilhaft, nur den einen der beiden Schlitze 3, 5 gekrümmt anzubringen.
