Um den Rahmen 2 herum kann ein außen bündig mit dem Rand 19 abschließender Außenmantel angeordnet sein. Die Haltelemente 7, die Kederelemente 10 sowie die äußeren Teile 8a der Spannmittel 8 liegen dann geschützt zwischen dem Außenmantel und dem Rahmen 2. In alternativen Ausgestaltungen können derartige Leuchte 1 auch andere, insbesondere organische, Formen aufweisen.
