Rotary valve for pipelines.
The invention relates to an improvement of a rotary valve according to patent no. 97573.
Its purpose is to facilitate the movement of the rotary valve after releasing the movable end plate provided with sealing surfaces, which is pressed in the closed state by the line pressure against a sealing surface on the housing, using the known valve relief. For this purpose, the outside of the end plate is provided with a shoulder which is exposed to the pressure prevailing on the pressure side of the valve body, so that when the line pressure on the inside of the end plate is reduced, the line pressure lifts it from its housing seat before the valve is turned .
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated, and FIG. 1 is a section through the axis of rotation of the closed slide.
FIG. 2 shows a detail of FIG. 1 on a larger scale.
In the drawing, 1 denotes the spherical valve housing in which the rotating body 4 is mounted by means of pivot pins 2 and 3. 5 is a toothed wheel seated on an extension of the pin 3 and used to rotate the body 4. As in the embodiment according to the main patent, the rotating body 4 also has an extension 6 with a short cylinder 7, in which the closing or sealing plate 8 can be moved with as little play as possible.
This plate is on the outside, i.e. H. with reference to Fig. 1 on the left, provided with a shoulder 21 (Fig. 2). 9 is the cavity formed by the rotating body 4 with extension 6 and the plate 8, which is on the one hand through the small opening 10 with the interior of the valve housing 1 filled with pressure medium and on the other hand through a closed channel 11 with a relief line 12 guided through the pivot 2 is connected. A shut-off device 13 built into the line 12 allows that line 12 to be connected to a line 14 which leads to the space behind the slide valve.
As indicated in a dash-dotted line, the line 12 can also be connected to a line 15 leading to the outside via the shut-off device 13. 16 denotes a known bypass with shut-off device 17, through which the space behind the slide can be filled in a known manner and at least partially pressurized before the rotating body 4 is moved into the open position.
The pressure prevailing in the valve housing 1 acts on the paragraph 21 of the end plate 8, u. between. Against the pressure prevailing in the cavity 9. When the shut-off device 13 is opened, this pressure causes the plate 8 to lift from its housing seat after the pressure in the space 9 has been reduced. As a result, the rotating body 4 can be rotated very easily, since the plate 8 then no longer generates any friction when this body is moved.
