Abstract
En un proceso para la epoxidación de propeno, que comprende las etapas de hacer reaccionar el propeno con peróxido de hidrógeno, separar el óxido de propeno y un chorro de propeno recuperado de la mezcla de reacción, separar el propano de la totalidad o de una parte del chorro de propeno recuperado en una columna de separación C₃, y pasar el chorro de producto superior de la columna de separación C₃ a la etapa de epoxidación, se usa un material de partida propano con una fracción de propano de desde 0,002 hasta 0,10, la epoxidación opera para proporcionar una fracción de propano en la mezcla de reacción de desde 0,05 hasta 0,20 y la columna de separación C₃ se opera para proporcionar un chorro de producto superior que comprende una fracción de propano de al menos 0,04 con el fin de reducir el tamaño y el consumo de energía de la columna de separación C₃.
