Un procedimiento para la generación de gas de síntesis rico en H₂ presenta los siguientes pasos: disociación de un fluido que contiene hidrocarburos en un aerosol H₂/C en un primer convertidor de hidrocarburos mediante un suministro de energía, que al menos en parte es aportado por calor; suministro de al menos una primera corriente del aerosol H₂/C en un primer proceso parcial, que presenta los siguientes pasos: conducción de al menos una parte del aerosol H₂/C del primer convertidor de hidrocarburos a un primer convertidor de C; ingreso de CO₂ en el primer convertidor de C y mezclado del CO₂ con el aerosol H₂/C introducido en el primer convertidor de C; transformación de la mezcla de aerosol H₂/C y CO₂ en un gas de síntesis a una temperatura de 800 a 1700ºC; mezclado de H₂ adicional con el gas de síntesis para la generación de gas de síntesis rico en H₂. En un segundo proceso parcial paralelo al primer proceso parcial se generan hidrogeno H₂ y dióxido de carbono CO₂ a partir de un fluido que contiene hidrocarburos, introduciéndose al menos una parte del CO₂ generado en el segundo proceso parcial en el primer convertidor de C; y mezclándose al menos una partes del H₂ generado en el segundo proceso parcial con el gas de síntesis del primer convertidor de C. El CO₂ que se necesita para una transformación de C en el primer convertidor de C puede así proveerse independientemente de una fuente externa y es posible controlar fácilmente todo el desarrollo del proceso.
