Abstract

Se proveen agentes microbiológicos para control de algunas enfermedades, causadas por especies de Fusarium, incluyendo también Fusarium head blight del trigo y de otros cereales. Además, esos agentes pueden aumentar la producción de dichas plantas. Específicamente esos agentes son aislados de Pantoea agglomerans y de Bacillus megaterium que presentan la propiedad de inhibir infecciones patogénicas de hongos, especialmente las que producen las especies de Fusarium. Una primera realización de la presente se relaciona con el biocontrol por una composición que abarca una mezcla de por lo menos un microorganismo antagonista a patógenos de plantas y un vehículo adecuado para tal organismo, que es una bacteria seleccionada del grupo formado por Pantoea agglomerans y Bacillus megaterium y que esté presente en cantidad efectiva para inhibir el desarrollo de patógenos de plantas. Una segunda realización se relaciona al proceso de control del desarrollo de patógenos en plantas de trigo y otros cereales por la aplicación de una composición que contiene un vehículo adecuado y por lo menos un microorganismo que presente antagonismo contra patógenos de plantas seleccionados por grupo de bacterias constituido por Pantoea agglomerans y Bacillus megaterium en cantidad efectiva para inhibir el desarrollo de patógenos de tal planta La tercera realización está relacionada a un proceso dirigido al aumento de la producción, caracterizado por abarcar una etapa de aplicación por pulverización foliar de una composición que contiene un vehículo adecuado y por lo menos un microorganismo seleccionado del grupo de bacterias constituido por Pantoea agglomerans y Bacillus megaterium en cantidad efectiva para aumentar la producción de tales plantas o de las plantas que resulten de las semillas tratadas por ese proceso.
