Abstract
Una construcción genética que comprende una secuencia de un promotor de antiquitina de monocotiledóneas ligada operativamente a un gen blanco que codifica una proteína de utilización de nitrógeno. Método para producir una planta monocotiledónea transgénica que comprende transformar una célula vegetal monocotiledónea con dicha construcción genética. Reivindicación 1: Una construcción genética caracterizada porque comprende una secuencia de un promotor de antiquitina de arroz que comprende la SEQ ID Nº 1 o los nucleótidos 101189 - 100216 del Acceso al GenBank Nº AP005570 aislados de arroz ligados operativamente a un ácido nucleico que codifica una alanina aminotransferasa que comprende la SEQ ID Nº 29 aislada de cebada, en donde la expresión de dicha construcción en una planta monocotilidónea transgénica causa un incremento en la biomasa vegetal y/o el rendimiento de semillas en comparación con la biomasa vegetal o el rendimiento de semillas de una planta monocotiledónea comparable que no expresa dicha construcción, cuando las plantas que expresan la construcción y que no expresan la construcción se cultivan bajo condiciones subóptimas de nitrógeno.
