Una máquina cosechadora de algodón concebida como una unidad o equipo integrado de cosecha, limpieza y acondicionamiento del algodón, equipada con un cabezal recolector con sistema de cosecha tipo despojador, arrancador o stripper de dedos o puntones, con dispositivos de limpieza integrados al cabezal cosechador y que actúan a todo lo ancho del mismo; con capacidad para cosechar en forma continua acumulando el algodón en una cámara de almacenamiento que actúa como pulmón regulador, con un dispositivo alimentador relacionado con la cámara de almacenamiento que, en forma alternada transfiere el algodón desde la cámara hasta el dispositivo o equipo modulador. Dicho modulador del tipo de cámara fija con rodillos periféricos giratorios, configura un recinto cilíndrico el cual en etapas o ciclos breves, sucesivos, recibe el algodón provisto por el sistema de alimentación, y lo acondiciona por rodadura inducida por los rodillos periféricos que giran, formando un módulo o fardo cilíndrico. Dicho módulo cilíndrico, en la fase final del ciclo de llenado, es comprimido o prensado en forma centrípeta y por breve tiempo.
