Abstract

Se describen toxinas Cry DIG-11, polinucleotidos que codifican dichas toxinas, uso de dichas toxinas para controlar plagas, y plantas transgénicas que producen esas toxinas. Reivindicacion 1: Un polipéptido aislado que comprende un segmento de toxina nucleo seleccionado del grupo que consta de lo siguiente: (a) un polipéptido que comprende la secuencia de aminoácidos de residuos 142 a 664 de la SEC ID Ns:2; (b) un polipéptido que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos que posee al menos 90% de identidad de secuencia respecto de la secuencia de aminoácidos de residuos 142 a 664 de la SEC ID Ns:2; (c) un polipéptido que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos de residuos 142 a 664 de SEC ID Ns:2 con hasta 20 sustituciones, eliminaciones o modificaciones de aminoácidos que no afectan adversamente la expresion o la actividad de la toxina codificada por la SEC ID Ns:2; o un fragmento activo desde el punto de vista insecticida del mismo.
