Abstract

Se describen métodos y sistemas para aumentar la producción de etanol usando un fluido de suspensión. El fluido de suspensión incluye material orgánico que ha sido por lo menos parcialmente digerido anaeróbicamente y microorganismos anaerobios, y está sustancialmente libre de microorganismos no anaerobios. También se describen métodos y sistemas para hidrolizar una carga de alimentación para fermentación que incluye hidrolizar una suspensión de carga de alimentación. La suspensión de carga de alimentación puede incluir carga de alimentación que incluye azúcares complejos, y un fluido de suspensión, en donde el fluido de suspensión incluye material orgánico que ha sido por lo menos parcialmente digerido anaeróbicamente y microorganismos anaerobios, y está sustancialmente libre de microorganismos no anaerobios.
