Abstract
Un codificador de audio (100) adaptado para codificar marcos de una senal de audio muestreada para obtener marcos codificados, donde un marco comprende un numero de muestras de audio del dominio del tiempo, que comprende una etapa de análisis de codificacion predictiva (110) para determinar informacion sobre los coeficientes de un filtro de síntesis e informacion sobre el marco de dominio de prediccion con base en un marco de muestras de audio. El codificador de audio (100) además comprende un transformador del dominio de la frecuencia (120) para transformar un marco de muestras de audio al dominio de la frecuencia para obtener un espectro de marcos y un tomador de decisiones del dominio de codificacion (130) para decidir si los datos codificados para un marco se basan en la informacion sobre los coeficientes en la informacion sobre el marco de dominio de prediccion, o si se basan en el espectro de marcos.
