Abstract
Un quemador para precipitar hollín de carbono sobre un molde de artículos de vidrio (12) que incluye una boquilla de quemador (26) que posee una disposicion anular de orificios de salida de gas individuales (34, 40), un pasaje de combustible dentro de la boquilla conectado a una primera pluralidad (34) de los orificios de salida, y un pasaje para oxidante en la boquilla conectado a una segunda pluralidad (40) de los orificios de salida. La primera pluralidad de orificios de salida se alterna individualmente con dicha segunda pluralidad de orificios de salida alrededor de la disposicion anular, de manera que la disposicion presenta orificios de salida de combustible y oxidante alternos alrededor de la disposicion anular. Un electrodo de encendido (54) se encuentra dispuesto sobre la boquilla del quemador dentro de la disposicion anular de los orificios de salida para encender el combustible y el oxidante que emergen de los orificios de salida. El electrodo de encendido preferentemente tiene forma de varilla de electrodo de encendido alargada y telescopicamente rodeada por un aislante (56) y centrada sobre la boquilla del quemador dentro de la disposicion anular de los orificios de salida, y un electrodo de tierra (90) que rodea telescopicamente al aislante.
