Abstract
La presente proporciona cuatro métodos para reducir el seccionamiento de tallos en una unidad de hilera de cabezal de maíz que utiliza un sistema de accionamiento no variable o dispuesto hacia abajo. Los cuatro métodos descriptos incluyen alterar la relacion de la caja de engranajes, aumentar las longitudes de la porcion estriada del rodillo pata tallos, aumentar el diámetro del rodillo para tallos o reducir el tamano de la rueda dentada de accionamiento de la cadena recolectora. La presente sirve también para una aplicacion más balanceada de energía multidireccional a ser aplicada a la planta de maíz. El efecto resultante consiste en reducir el seccionamiento de tallos, lo que reduce la admision de desperdicios a la cosechadora. Esta novedosa idea proporciona los primeros elementos y métodos con las que plantas de maíz genéticamente mejoradas más altas y más sanas pueden ser cosechadas con mínimas cantidades de materiales que no sean mazorcas que sean finalmente transferidos a la unidad de trillado.
