Abstract

Un proceso y un aparato para hacer pasar un efluente de polimerización, que comprende polímero sólido, monómero sin reaccionar, diluyente y cantidades minoritarias de contaminantes, a una columna de destilación instantánea de alta presión donde se evaporan rápidamente la mayor parte de los componentes del fluido y donde se separa del volumen de los componentes evaporados del fluido, una corriente auxiliar que comprende diluyente y cantidades minoritarias de monómero. Said auxiliary stream is subjected to a removal of olefins to give a stream essentially free of olefins that is recycled to a catalyst sludge preparation area. The volume of the evaporated components of the fluid is recycled directly back to the polymerization zone without costly olefin removal, although optionally treatments can be carried out to remove other contaminants. The polymer and the dragging fluid is passed to a zone of instantaneous evaporation of low pressure where the fluids evaporate quickly, are compressed and combined with the vapors from the tank of the column of instantaneous distillation column of high pressure. Since most of the fluids are removed in the high pressure instantaneous distillation column, compression and cooling of the fluid products are kept to a minimum before recirculation.
