Abstract

Un cable 10 para inmuebles que tiene una pluralidad de fibras inorgánicas 14 para proteger y suspender una pluralidad de fibras ópticas 12 dentro de una vaina polimérica 16. Las fibras inorgánicas, preferentemente fibras de vidrio, no generan humo ni fuego, y de este modo constituyen una mejora respecto a fibras de poliaramida tradicionales utilizadas como materiales de refuerzo en cables para inmuebles. Una composición de apresto es aplicada a las fibras inorgánicas para evitar el encintado de las fibras inorgánicas, evitándose de este modo la atenuación de las fibras ópticas causadas por tal encintado, y permitiendo también una distribución uniforme de fibras de vidrio alrededor de las fibras ópticas para proteger adicionalmente las fibras ópticas.
