Abstract

Se refiere a un compuesto 1,1'-(1,2-etendiil)bis[benceno] sustituido de formula general (1), en donde Ra, Rl y R4 son, independientemente, hidrogeno, alquilo inferior, alquilo inferior sustituido, halo, hidroxilo, alquiloxi inferior optativamente sustituido, -C(O)ORal en la cual Ral es hidrogeno o alquilo inferior, -NRaaRa? o -C(O)NRaaRa?, en la cual Raa y Ra? son, independientemente, hidrogeno, alquilo inferior, alquilo inferior sustituido, arilo, arilo sustituido, arilalquilo (inferior), arilalquilo (inferior) sustituido, heteroarilalquilo (inferior), heteroarilalquilo (inferior) sustituido, heterociclilo, heterociclilo sustituido, heteroarilo o heteroarilo sustituido. R? es hidrogeno, alquilo inferior, alquilo inferior sustituido, halo, hidroxilo, alcoxi inferior, alquiloxi inferior sustituido, carboxilo, -NRaaRa?, -NRaaC(O)Ra? o -C(O)NRaaRa?, en la cual Raa y Ra? tienen los significados anteriores, o R? y Rl, junto con los átomos de carbono a los cuales están unidos, forman un anillo heterocíclico, R5 es hidrogeno, alquilo inferior, alquilo inferior sustituido, o arilo, R6 y R7 son, independientemente, hidrogeno, alquilo inferior o -C(O)ORal, en donde Ral tiene los significados anteriores; R8 y R9 son, independientemente, hidrogeno, alquilo inferior, alquilo inferior sustituido, halo, hidroxilo, alcoxi inferior, carboxilo, -NRaaRa?, -C(O)NRaaRa?, en la cual Raa y Ra? tienen los significados anteriores; R10 es hidrogeno, alquilo inferior, alquilo inferior sustituido, halo, hidroxi, alcoxi inferior, -C(O)ORal en donde Ral es hidrogeno o alquilo inferior, -SO3H o -C(O)NRaaRa?, en donde Raa y Ra? tienen los significados anteriores; o su sal farmacéuticamente aceptable; o un estereoisomero unico o mezcla de sus estereoisomeros, y procesos para su preparacion, composiciones farmacéuticas que comprenden dichos compuestos, el uso de los mismos para preparar medicamentos y/o agentes de tratamiento para intensificar la absorcion de glucosa dependiente de insulina. Más específicamente, se refiere a compuestos y composiciones farmacéuticas que activan la quinasa receptora de insulina, lo cual conduce a una sensibilidad aumentada a la insulina y a un aumento en la absorcion de glucosa, como así también procesos para la preparacion de los compuestos. También se refiere específicamente al uso de dichos compuestos para preparar medicamentos para tratar seres humanos con hiperglicemia, especialmente para el tratamiento de la diabetes Tipo II.
