Abstract

Se describe y reivindica un proceso donde alcoholes que comprenden dobles enlaces carbono-carbono, no conjugados, pueden ser alcoxilados con excelenteeficiencia y baja produccion de subproductos usando un catalizador de cianuro de metal. Específicamente, se trata de un proceso para preparar poliéteres,caracterizado porque comprende formar una mezcla de un compuesto iniciador que contiene al menos un grupo oxialquilable y al menos un oxido de alquileno ysometer dicha mezcla a condiciones suficientes para activar dicho complejo y alcoxilar los grupos oxialquilables del compuesto iniciador, donde dicho compuestoiniciador posee una insaturacion carbono-carbono no conjugada que a) es capaz de migrar; b) es adyacente a un átomo de carbono terciario hidroxisustituido, oc) tanto como a) y b) simultáneamente. También, se reivindican los compuestos de polioxialquileno utilizadores como iniciadores en dicho proceso.
