Abstract

Se utiliza una estacion movil de comunicaciones (MS1) en una red de comunicaciones inalámbricas para medir los tiempos de llegada de senales de radiotransmitidas respectivamente por una pluralidad de transmisores de radio (23, 28) en la red. Laestac ion movil de comunicaciones es provista con informacion dediferencia de tiempo real (RTD) indicativa de diferencias entre una base de tiempo (60) utilizada por un transmisor de radio (23) que sirve a la estacion movilde comunicaciones y lasrespectiv as bases de tiempo utilizadas por los otros transmisores de radio. La estacion movil de comunicaciones determina, en respuestaa la informacion de diferencia de tiempo real y con relacion a la base de tiempo utilizada por el transmisor deradio que si rve a la estacion movil decomunicaciones, una pluralidad de puntos en el tiempo en los cuales se espera que lleguen las respectivas senales de radio a la estacion movil decomunicaciones. Para cada una de dichas senales de radio, laestacion movil de comunicaciones monitorea la llegada de la senal de radio durante un período detiempo posterior al punto en el tiempo en el cual se espera que llegue la senal.
