Abstract

Un catalizador para la reduccion de oxidos de nitrogeno en atmosfera oxidante y reductora. Un procedimiento para la preparacion de un catalizador y unempleo del catalizador. El catalizador contiene iridio sobre un material de soporte se emplean oxidode silicio o una zeolita desaluminizada en la forma Hácida con un modulo de más de 20, preferentemente de más de 100, o mezclas de las mismas. El iridio está precipitado sobre la superficie exterior de estosmateriales de soporte con tamano de partícula medio entre 10 y 30nm. El catalizador es especialmente adecuado para la purificacion del gas de escape de motoresDiesel o de motores nafteros operados pobremente.
