Abstract

Un método para la preparacion de citalopram que comprende los pasos de: a)hacer reaccionar un compuesto de formula IV donde R1 es H o alquilcarbonilo C1-6con un reactivo de Grignard de 4-halogeno-fluorfenilo, b)hacer reaccionar el compuestoresultant e de formula V donde R1 es, segun se define precedentemente,con un reactivo de Grignard de 3-halogeno-N,N-dimetilpropilamina; c)efectua el cierre de anillos del compuesto resultante de la formula VI donde R1 es segun sedefineprecedentemente, y d) co nvertir el compuesto resultante de formula VII donde R1 es, segun se define precedentemente, para el correspondiente 5-cianoderivado, es decir, citalopram, el cual es separado como base o sal farmacéuticamente aceptable delmismo; y una composicion f armacéutica antidepresiva quecomprende citalopram fabricado mediante el método.
