The water heater according to the present invention comprises a water boiler with at least one hole thereon; a heating assembly; and a sealing system (A), wherein the sealing system (A) comprises a boiler flange (K) comprising a flange body (1) in an annular form with an opening (1a), a first side (1b) and a second side (1c); two successive first flaps (3) extending outwardly from the second side (1c) and having a first mounting hole (2) therebetween; and two first connecting elements (4) which may be tabs or slots that extend in the first mounting hole (1) from one of the first flaps (3) to the other, wherein the boiler flange (K) is inserted into the hole such that one surface of the flange body (1) contacts an outer surface of the water boiler; wherein the sealing system (A) comprises a auxiliary sheet (S) comprising a sheet body (5) in a circular form, wherein the sheet body (5) is connected to the heating assembly on one surface thereof and is clamped to the boiler flange (K) with rotational movement, wherein at least one part of the sheet body (5) is inserted in the opening (1a) so that the heating assembly remains in the water boiler, two successive second flaps (7) with a second mounting hole (6) therebetween, which are connected with an outer side of the sheet body (5) away from the center thereof, and two second connecting elements (8) which may be tabs or slots that extend in the second mounting hole (6) from one of the second flaps (7) to the other, and which are engaged with the first connecting elements (4) during the rotational movement on the boiler flange (K).

Description

A WATER HEATER WITH A SEALING SYSTEM
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a water heater comprising a sealing system for providing sealing between a water boiler and a heating assembly.
Background of the Invention
In daily life, water heaters (thermosiphons) with water heating feature are used for various purposes such as cooking and cleaning. Said water heaters comprise at least one water boiler for receiving and heating cold water, such that the hot water made ready for use is stored and maintained; and at least one heating assembly that heats the water in the water boiler. The heating assembly is connected to the water boiler via a flange. In the area where the water boiler and the heating assembly are connected, a sealing system is used to prevent the escape of water and heat. Said sealing system comprises at least one sealing gasket preferably made of a rubber material; at least one boiler flange preferably made of a steel material; and at least one auxiliary sheet positioned on the flange to which the heating assembly is connected. Six bolt-nut connections, preferably rectangular head, are used in the assembly of the sealing system. It takes a lot of time to assemble the sealing system, which increases both production and labor costs.
In the state of the art, the bolt-nut connections used in the assembly of the sealing systems of the water heaters can loosen and rust after a certain use due to high temperature and pressure. Due to the loosening of the bolt-nut connections, the effect of the sealing system decreases such that it causes water and heat leaks in the water heater. This shortens the service life of the water heater and incurs additional costs such as repair costs.

Thanks to the water heater according to the present invention, a sealing system is provided between the water boiler and the heating assembly. Thanks to the sealing system, the boiler flange and the auxiliary sheet are clamped together. This increases the connection surfaces and provides resistance to high pressure values. An object of the present invention is to provide a water heater with a sealing system for providing a sealing between the water boiler and the heating assembly.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a water heater with an interlocking sealing system to resist high pressure values.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a water heater with a reliable sealing system which is cost-efficient in terms of labor and production, and easy to install.

Description of the Invention
In daily life, water heaters with water heating feature are used for various purposes such as cooking and cleaning. Said water heaters comprise at least one water boiler for receiving and heating cold water, such that the hot water made ready for use is stored and maintained; at least one heating assembly which heats the water in the water boiler and is connected to the water boiler via a flange; and at least one sealing system having at least one sealing gasket, preferably made of a rubber material, which prevents the escape of water and heat in the area where the water boiler and the heating assembly are connected, at least one boiler flange preferably made of a steel material and at least one auxiliary sheet positioned on the flange to which the heating assembly is connected. Six bolt-nut connections, preferably rectangular head, are used in the assembly of the sealing system. It takes a lot of time to assemble the sealing system, which increases both production and labor costs. Therefore, the present invention provides a water heater with a sealing system for solving said problems.
The water heater according to the present invention, as illustrated in Figures 1-6, comprises at least one water boiler with at least one hole thereon, in which cold water is received and heated such that the hot water made ready for use is stored and preserved; at least one heating assembly for heating the water in the water boiler, which is passed through said hole on one side to remain inside the water boiler, the water heater further comprising at least one sealing system (A) that comprises: at least one boiler flange (K) comprising at least one flange body (1) in an annular form with at least one opening (1a) at the center thereof, at least a first side (1b) located on the side facing said opening (1a) (i.e. an inner side), and at least a second side (1c) located on the side away from the opening (1a) (i.e. opposite the first side (1b)) (i.e. an outer side); at least two successive first flaps (3) connected on one side thereof with the second side (1c), extending outwardly from the second side (1c) and having at least a first mounting hole (2) therebetween; and at least two first connecting elements (4), which may be tabs or slots that extend in the first mounting hole (1) from one of the first flaps (3) to the other; wherein the boiler flange (K) is inserted into the hole in the water boiler such that one surface of the flange body (1) contacts an outer surface of the water boiler; at least one auxiliary sheet (S) comprising at least one sheet body (5) in a circular form, wherein the sheet body (5) is connected to the heating assembly on one surface thereof and is clamped to said boiler flange (K) with rotational movement, wherein at least one part of the sheet body (5) is inserted in the opening (1a) to close said opening (1a) so that the heating assembly remains in the water boiler; at least two successive second flaps (7) with at least a second mounting hole (6) therebetween, connected with an outer side of said sheet body (5) away from the center thereof, and extending outwardly from said outer side; and at least two second connecting elements (8) which may be tabs or slots that extend in the second mounting hole (6) from one of the second flaps (7) to the other, and which are engaged with the first connecting elements (4) during the rotational movement on the boiler flange (K).
In this way, connection of the sealing system (A) between the heating assembly and the water boiler is performed more securely.
In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the heating assembly in the water heater is connected to a surface of the sheet body (5) of the auxiliary sheet (S). Then, said boiler flange (K) is attached to the hole in the water boiler so that one surface of the flange body (1) contacts the outer surface of the water boiler. The auxiliary sheet (S) is placed on the boiler flange (K) such that the sheet body (5) closes the opening (1a) and the heating assembly remains inside the water boiler. After the auxiliary sheet (S) is placed on the boiler flange (K), the auxiliary sheet (S) rotates and the first connecting elements (4) and the second connecting elements (8) are clamped to each other. Thus, it is ensured that the auxiliary sheet (S) and the boiler flange (K) are fixed. In this way, connections of the sealing system (A) are provided in a more secure manner.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a side of the first connecting elements (4) provided in the water heater according to the invention facing the first mounting holes (2) (another side thereof opposite the side connected to the first flaps (3)) has a structure that is inclined upwards (to move away from the surface of the first flaps (3)) to make an angle other than 0°. Therefore, engagement of the first connecting elements (4) and the second connecting elements (8) are facilitated.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a side of the second connecting elements (8) provided in the water heater according to the invention facing the second mounting holes (6) has a recessed structure from the level of the surface of the second flaps (7) such that the second connecting elements (8) pass under the first connecting elements (4) during the rotational movement of the auxiliary sheet (S).
In another preferred embodiment, the sealing system (A) according to the invention comprises at least one fixing element (9) for fixing the connection of the auxiliary sheet (S) and the boiler flange (K), which have been mounted to each other when the second connecting element (8) and the first connecting element (4) are clamped together upon the rotational movement of the auxiliary sheet (S), wherein the fixing element (9) is connected with the auxiliary sheet (S) and the boiler flange (K). The fixing element (9) is an element such as a screw, a bolt, a pin, or a rivet. The boiler flange (K) mentioned herein comprises at least a first hole in which the fixing element (9) can be inserted. The auxiliary sheet (S), in turn, comprises at least a second hole, which is aligned with the first hole when mounted on the boiler flange (K). The fixing element (9) is passed through the second hole and first hole to be attached. Thanks to the fixing element (9), after the boiler flange (K) and the auxiliary sheet (S) are mounted, the auxiliary sheet (S) is prevented from rotating such that the first connecting element (4) and the second connecting element (8) move away from each other (i.e. in the opposite direction), and the sealing system (A) is prevented from being disassembled unintentionally. In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the sealing system (A) according to the invention comprises at least one sealing part (10) located between the boiler flange (K) and the auxiliary sheet (S) such that one side thereof is connected with the first side (1b) and the other side thereof is connected with a surface of the sheet body (5) facing the boiler flange (K). Therefore, the leakage risks that may occur between the boiler flange (K) and the auxiliary sheet (S) are minimized.
Thanks to the water heater according to the present invention, a sealing system (A) is provided between the water boiler and the heating assembly. Thanks to the sealing system (A), the boiler flange (K) and the auxiliary sheet (S) are clamped together. This increases the connection surfaces and provides resistance to high pressure values. The sealing system (A) enables assembly period to be shortened and labor costs to be reduced.

Claims

CLAIMS A water heater comprising at least one water boiler with at least one hole thereon, in which cold water is received and heated such that the hot water made ready for use is stored and preserved; at least one heating assembly for heating the water in the water boiler, which is passed through said hole on one side to remain inside the water boiler, characterized by comprising at least one sealing system (A) that comprises:
- at least one boiler flange (K) comprising at least one flange body (1) in an annular form with at least one opening (1a) at the center thereof, at least a first side (1b) located on the side facing said opening (1a), and at least a second side (1c) located on the side away from the opening (1a); at least two successive first flaps (3) connected on one side thereof with the second side (1c), extending outwardly from the second side (1c) and having at least a first mounting hole (2) therebetween; and at least two first connecting elements (4), which may be tabs or slots that extend in the first mounting hole (1) from one of the first flaps (3) to the other; wherein the boiler flange (K) is inserted into the hole in the water boiler such that one surface of the flange body (1) contacts an outer surface of the water boiler;
- at least one auxiliary sheet (S) comprising at least one sheet body (5) in a circular form, wherein the sheet body (5) is connected to the heating assembly on one surface thereof and is clamped to said boiler flange (K) with rotational movement, wherein at least one part of the sheet body (5) is inserted in the opening (1a) to close said opening (1a) so that the heating assembly remains in the water boiler; at least two successive second flaps (7) with at least a second mounting hole (6) therebetween, connected with an outer side of said sheet body (5) away from the center thereof, and extending outwardly from said outer side; and at least two second connecting elements (8) which may be tabs or slots that extend in the second mounting hole (6) from one of the second flaps (7) to the other, and which are engaged with the first connecting elements (4) during the rotational movement on the boiler flange (K).

2. A water heater according to claim 1 , characterized in that a side of the first connecting elements (4) facing the first mounting holes (2) has a structure that is inclined upwards to make an angle other than 0°.

A water heater according to claim 1 , characterized in that a side of the second connecting elements (8) facing the second mounting holes (6) has a recessed structure from the level of the surface of the second flaps (7) such that the second connecting elements (8) pass under the first connecting elements (4) during the rotational movement of the auxiliary sheet (S).

A water heater according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises at least one fixing element (9) for fixing the connection of the auxiliary sheet (S) and the boiler flange (K), which have been mounted to each other when the second connecting element (8) and the first connecting element (4) are clamped together upon the rotational movement of the auxiliary sheet (S), wherein the fixing element (9) is connected with the auxiliary sheet (S) and the boiler flange (K).
5. A water heater according to claim 4, characterized in that boiler flange (K) comprises at least a first hole in which the fixing element (9) can be inserted.
6. A water heater according to claim 5, characterized in that the auxiliary sheet (S) comprises at least a second hole, which is aligned with the first hole when mounted on the boiler flange (K).

A water heater according to claim 1 , characterized in that the sealing system (A) comprises at least one sealing part (10) located between the boiler flange (K) and the auxiliary sheet (S) such that one side thereof is connected with the first side (1b) and the other side thereof is connected with a surface of the sheet body (5) facing the boiler flange (K).
