Abstract
Devices, systems and methods for digital video coding, which includes memory bandwidth reductions for sub-block coding tools, are described. An exemplary method for video coding includes determining, for a conversion in an affine mode between a coding unit of a video and a bitstream representation of the video, a sub-block size based on information associated with the coding unit. The method also includes performing the conversion in the affine mode based on the sub-block size.
