- PHP and PIP of the input ports HP and IP respectively, three independent temperature measurements TBAS_A, TBAS_B and TBAS-Dispatch downstream of the PCE 11, THP and TIP temperature measurements of the input ports HP and IP respectively, and two pressure drop measurements DPBAS_A and DPBAS_B across the PCE 11 exchanger.
- Blocks B32-B37 are intended to ensure the validity of the measurements by consolidating them prior to the evaluation of the first current estimate of airflow.
- the computer 37 is generally configured to consolidate a measurement by analyzing the inputs to check if the measurement is non-aberrant. This analysis is performed at the software level of the calculator and may include tests of likelihood and deviations.
- the likelihood test is based on comparing an entry with a minimum threshold and a maximum threshold to verify whether the entry is within or outside a likelihood range.
- the deviation (or cross-check) test is performed between the two redundant channels of the measurement or between the measurement of one of the channels and a reference measurement or a corresponding model.
- Block B32 concerns the consolidation of the PBAS pressure measurement downstream of the PCE 11 provided by the sensor 9f (PBAS-sensor) used in the formula (1) for the calculation of the airflow.
- the pressure measurement can be redundant analytically according to a preset pressure model from the other pressure measurements PHPV, PHP and PIP.
- the computer 37 compares the PBAS pressure measurement with PBAS analytical pressure model to consolidate the measurement.
- the PBAS pressure is a relative measurement and therefore the ambient pressure PO is added to it to obtain the complete measurement of the pressure downstream of the PCE 11.

- the calculator 37 first compares each measurement obtained with the acceptable minimum and maximum thresholds. When the two measurements are sound, the computer 37 verifies that the two measurements are not at a distance from each other. If not, it means that one of the two measures is wrong (or both). However, the detection of a difference between the measurements does not make it possible to locate the faulty measurement.
- the TBAS-Dispatch measurement is then used as the referee to locate the faulty measurement in order to reconfigure itself on the sound measurement.
- the average is calculated between the consolidated measurement of the temperature downstream of the PCE 11 from block B33 and the temperature (THP or TIP) of the selected input port (HP port or IP port).
- Blocks B36-B37 concern the consolidation of the pressure loss measurement
- the DPBAS measurement does not meet any initial need of the BAS air sampling system 1, but only makes it possible to measure the air flow taken.

- the computer 37 When the two pressure loss measurements DPBAS_A and DPBAS_B of the two channels are sound with respect to the likelihood test, the computer 37 carries out a gap test between them to detect if one of the two measurements has failed (or both ). However, the detection of a difference between the measurements does not make it possible to locate the faulty measurement. Thus, in order to arbitrate deviation faults, the computer 37 operates a gap test between the measurement of each channel and a corresponding model based on the measurement of the air intake flow rate W A coming from a digital module 51 of the aircraft. - the quadratic sum is justified by the fact that the different measures are all independent of each other and that they are tainted by errors distributed according to a normal law.
- the imprecision ⁇ ⁇ on the pressure is of the order of 0.3 bar; the imprecision ⁇ ⁇ on the temperature is of the order of 10K; the imprecision ⁇ ⁇ on the pressure drop is of the order of 0.11 psi; and the inaccuracy e k on the experimental constant k is of the order of 10%.
