- FIG. 20 is a block diagram illustrating a system configuration according to the ninth embodiment.
- FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a system configuration according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention.
- the system illustrated in FIG. 1 includes a power generation apparatus 10 that generates power using natural energy (solar power generation, solar thermal power generation, wind power generation, tidal power generation, geothermal power generation, and the like).
- the system shown in FIG. 1 includes a first device 12 and a second device 14.
- the first device 12 is a CO and H 2 generator that simultaneously generates CO and H 2 by electrolysis of CO 2 and water.
- the first device 12 includes an electrolytic cell whose interior is filled with an electrolytic solution in which CO 2 is dissolved, a working electrode (WE), a counter electrode (CE), and a reference electrode provided in the electrolytic cell. (RE) and a potentiostat configured to be able to change the voltage of WE with respect to RE.
- the second device 14 is an H 2 generator that generates H 2 by electrolysis of water.
- the configuration of the second device 14 is the same as that of the first device 12 except that the electrolytic solution is water and a supporting electrolyte.
- the system shown in FIG. 1 includes a power control distribution device 16 that distributes the power from the power generation device 10 to the first device 12 and the second device 14.
- the power control distribution device 16 includes a controller (not shown) inside, and executes power distribution control and mixing ratio feedback control described later by this controller.

- An H 2 storage device 20 is provided.
- H 2 storage device 18 and the H 2 storage device 20 are connected via a normally closed valve (not shown) constituted by, for example, a check valve, a reed valve, etc., and the pressure in the H 2 storage device 20 There when exceeds a predetermined working pressure, H 2 of H 2 storage apparatus 20 is CO, it shall be introduced in H 2 storage device 18.

- the generation potential of H 2 is 0.11 V in absolute value, which is lower than the generation potential of CO. For this reason, in the region where the voltage in FIG. 2A is low, the amount of H 2 generated is relatively large, so the CO / H 2 generation ratio is low. On the other hand, if the voltage is increased, the amount of CO generated can be increased as compared with a region where the voltage is low, and therefore the CO / H 2 generation ratio increases. That is, as shown in FIG. 2 (A), the CO / H 2 generation ratio decreases when the WE voltage setting value for RE is set low, and the CO / H 2 generation ratio increases when it is set high. .

- a low WE voltage with respect to RE means that the input energy is small. Therefore, in the region where the voltage in FIG. 2B is low, the lower the voltage, the higher the energy efficiency.
- the CO / H 2 generation ratio increases in the high voltage region, but in general, the calorific value of CO (283 kJ / mol) is equal to the calorific value of H 2 (242 kJ). / Mol), the higher the CO / H 2 production ratio, the higher the energy efficiency because the calorific value of the product increases. That is, as shown in FIG. 2B, the energy efficiency has a downward convex characteristic.

WE:CO2+2H++2e-→CO+H2O ・・・(1)
2H++2e-→H2 ・・・(2)
CE:2H2O→O2+4H++4e- ・・・(3)
WE:2H++2e-→H2 ・・・(4)
CE:2H2O→O2+4H++4e- ・・・(5)
