Description

IR NEBULIZER FOR LIQUID SUBSTANCES AND SOLUTIONS
DESCRIPTION
Sector of the invention
The invention regards a device that is able to nebulize liquid substances and solutions.
Prior art
In the state of the art prior to the present invention, nebulizers are known, which, however, do not always prove satisfactory as regards their efficiency and ease of use.
A further drawback lies in the fact that known nebulizers can induce alterations of the nebulized liquid, for example of a thermal type or due to the use of propellents.
Purpose of the invention
The purpose of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks of nebulizers of a known type and to propose a high-efficiency nebulizer that is easy to use and able to nebulize the liquid without inducing alterations either from the thermal standpoint or ones due to the propellents used.
Summary of the invention
The above purpose is achieved by a nebulizer according to one or more of the annexed claims.
The advantages achieved consist basically in the fact that the nebulizer according to the invention has a high efficiency and ease of use, and is able to nebulize the liquid in a natural way without inducing alterations either from the thermal standpoint or ones due to the propellents used. List of, the drawings
Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the ensuing description of an embodiment thereof, provided by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the annexed drawings, in which:
- Figure 1 shows a perspective view from the left of the device according to the invention;
Figure 2 is a schematic view of the device, which highlights the path followed by the liquid up to its nebulization in the atmosphere;
Figure 3 shows schematically the control diagram the device.
Detailed description
With reference to the attached drawings, a nebulizer according to the invention is described.
In the preferred embodiment described, the nebulizer comprises a flask 4 containing an amount of liquid substance to be nebulized.
Provided above the flask is a top 3 having a dispenser 6 connected to the liquid via a tube 9 and provided at the top with a nozzle 10 for delivery of the nebulized liquid.
According to the invention, provided within the top is a Venturi-effect system of ducts 14 having an inlet 15 for compressed air connected by means of a pipe 19 to a corresponding air outlet 18 of a compressor 2.
In operation, the flask is filled with the liquid 16 that is to be nebulized and the top 3 is inserted so as to prime the tube 9 in the liquid 16. When the compressor is started up, the compressed air leaving the air outlet 18 enters the top through the air inlet 15 and traverses the system of ducts 14, causing a negative-pressure by the Venturi effect.
In greater detail, the system of ducts 14 comprises a duct with decreasing section 20, which is traversed by the air coming from the inlet 15 and gives out into a negative-pressure chamber 21, which is in turn connected to the priming tube 9.
As a result of the introduction of the compressed air, the liquid 16 is recalled into the chamber 21, converges with the flow of air leaving the duct 20 and is nebulized thereby coming out in a nebulized form 23 from a hole 22 in the chamber 21 and invading the internal compartment 24 of the top 3.
From the compartment 24 the nebulized liquid exits from an outlet mouth 25 provided for the dispenser 6.
Consequently, according to the invention, thanks to the negative pressure, the liquid 16 is recalled and rises in the tube 9 up to the system of ducts 14 of the top 3, where the turbulence encountered causes decomposition of the liquid into microparticles, which nebulize and exit from the delivery nozzle 10.
Preferably, the compressor 2 is electrically supplied and the nebulizer is provided with an electronic control circuit 17 (Figure 3) operatively connected to the electrical supply 5, to the compressor 2 and to the dispenser 6.
The nebulizer can moreover be housed inside a boxlike containment casing 7, provided with a hole 8 communicating with the delivery nozzle 10. Advantageously, the nebulizer described above is able to transform from the liquid state to the gaseous state a liquid, which thanks to the compression of air coming from the compressor undergoes, owing to the conformation of the flask 4, a decomposition into tiny droplets, which are set in suspension in the air and are forced out of the dispensing flask reaching the outside to diffuse into the atmosphere and perform treatment thereof according to the active principle present in the liquid.
The entire operating cycle is not subject to thermal action or action of propellents other than air so that the nebulized liquid does not undergo any alteration and is not denatured.
The electronic circuit, or a PLC, manages operation of the device to decide the time for delivery, the starting time, and the duration.
The device can function with different liquids, contained in removable flasks set either inside or outside the container 7 and possibly connected thereto via a system provided with air-delivery pipes .
