k & &
Summary of the invention
The present invention has the object of providing a comfortable and practical container for accommodating a foldable element in an automobile cockpit. More in particular, the foldable element to which the invention more expressly refers consists of a reflector jacket or bandolier which each automobile must be compulsorily be equipped with, in such a manner to be easily accessible, and also a cover useable for covering the rear seats in case of animals transported on board. Both such foldable elements, made of flexible material, are currently difficult to position in an orderly, non-encumbering and immediately accessible manner in the automobile cockpit.
With the aim of attaining the above mentioned object, the container according to the invention is characterised in that it consists of a embedded receptacle provided in the seat of the car or in the related headrest.
In a preferred embodiment, such receptacle consists of a compartment provided in the back part of the headrest of a front seat.
According to a variant, the receptacle may instead consist of a compartment provided in the front part of the headrest of a rear seat. Naturally, the receptacle that defines the container according to the invention may be arranged in areas of the seat different from its headrest, as long as it is easily accessible. Brief description of the drawings
The invention shall now be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings, strictly provided for exemplifying and non-limiting purposes, wherein:
- figure 1 is a schematic perspective view showing the interior of a automobile cockpit provided with a container according to a first embodiment of the invention,
- figure 2 is a vertical sectional view according to line II-II of figure 1, and - figure 3 is a view analogous to figure 1 showing a variant of the container according to the invention. Detailed description of the invention
Initially referring to figures 1 and 2, the backrests of the front seats of a car, each of which is provided at the top with a respective headrest 2, are indicated with 1. One or both of the headrests 2 consist in a cushion body formed with an interior cavity 3 accessible through an openable flap 4 arranged on the back wall, or the rear wall of the headrest 2. The flap 4 - which can be rigid or flexible or soft and can oscillate around its upper side (as in the case of the illustrated example) or the lower side, or around a lateral edge thereof or still entirely removable - can be blocked in a closed position by means of any suitable system such as for example a snap-latch or a simple strip-seal.
The cavity 3 defines an embedded receptacle expressly designed to accommodate a foldable or rollable element E constituted by a reflector jacket or bandolier and/or by a protection cover applicable on the rear seats of the automobile when transporting animals or the like.
In case of the variant of figure 3 the or each receptacle 3 is formed in the or in each headrest 5 of a rear seat 6. Also in this case, the receptacle 3 is easily accessible, on the front side of the headrest 5, following the opening of a flexible portion 7 usually kept closed by means of a strip closure system or the like.
Obviously, the effects of the present invention are extended to models that attain equivalent results using the same inventive concept.
