Abstract
伝送装置200は、従来の伝送装置のようにプロテクションスイッチを信号上のパスに持たせるのではなく、基本機能だけをもつTSIにプロテクションスイッチの機能を代用させ、切り替え機能を低い速度で行う処理部をTSIに擬似構築し、SONETプロテクション方式のスイッチ処理をTSIにて仮想的に行い、TSI機能を制御する信号を更に制御することでプロテクションスイッチ機能を実現するので、従来のTSI機能に追加して主信号レートでの切り替えを行っていたロジックの削除を行う。
