Abstract
Disclosed is a method which enables to highly crystallize a carbon nanotube and a carbon nanotube assembly at low temperatures, which is suitable for commercial production. Specifically disclosed is a method for modifying a carbon nanotube or a carbon nanotube assembly, which comprises a first step for bringing a carbon nanotube or a carbon nanotube assembly into contact with a solution containing an aromatic compound, and a second step for heating the carbon nanotube or the carbon nanotube assembly obtained in the first step at 100-400˚C.
